This is how I see us right now and where we need to improve. Just because someone not in the starting lineup who's on my 2nd string, doesn't mean they won't be starting on day 1..but here's where I see us needing competition or a better person who's not on the roster right now Where do rookies fit into this team I don't know, the only really open spot is RCB and if we get another stud OL..we need a good backup T, and NT. I'd sign St. Clair from chicago for a rainey day. He's started on both sides. If you look at our secondary it's pretty thin..again these moves are based on known football playability...There's some players added to our team, but until we know something I'm not putting them here..the one I did is C. Wade, but note I have him behind Moses until he shows something. If the 1st I've got open are better than what we have or the 2nd get extremely better, then we're have a good team imho.. What's you thoughts?

love the safeties.. hope pennington doesnt follow his past and try to be come back player of the year 3 times.. by totally sucking this year! but he probably will

sounds about right - but i'd put merling in front of starks for sure.

we dont need a new LG i think Justin Smiley is going to do just fine we do need a back up for him though

I would put:

Bess ahead of London
Merling ahead of Starks
I think Smiley and or thomas should be in at least one of those starting spots, even tho I do agree we could use upgrades (we dont really know about thomas right now)

On everything else: I completely agree; we do need upgrades at OLB, MLB, CB, FB, and WR

This is a good breakdown

o and i dont see satele starting at C.. i think he will actually make an excellent gaurd

that's probably true, but starks was first last year before he got hurt, so I'm given him the benefit of a doubt.. The way I see it, we need 3-4 starters on O and 3 on D...upgrades that is.. The Tuna said we needed 15 players going into the offseason.. I think he feels he's gotten 3-4 with Grove, Berger, Wilson and possibly Wade..that leaves about 11 and I think I've pointed out the places with the exception of NT..

yeah I agree here.. although NT is not a HUGE need right now because Jferg can still play.. we need to add a young guy to back him up now and replace him in the future.. so i would not be surprised if BP takes a NT in the first 2 rounds just because it is such an important position in the 3-5 scheme

yea grove was brought in to start with the money he got he would have to realllllly look bad to not start.
If smiley is healthy he is a starter for us no questions.
I actually Think Akin played way above avg for us last year and wouldnt mind seeing him start again.
The way we play our guys on the D line makes it very hard to do this guys line up all over and it doesnt really matter who starts because we plug guys in like crazy throughout the whole game.

I wanna see Connor Barwin opposite J. Porter! Dude is gonna be a beast.

Jake Grove will be our starting center. He is a significant upgrade. Smiley is a #1 LG.

Pretty much agree with most, but doubt we will have two new O-guards this year. Personally if Thomas is healthy, I think the coaches like him, adn will give him every chance to start. Smiley is solid, but if he is not ready by opening day, he might lose his job depending who will be competing.

Sounds about right, as much as I think Roth will be even better this year, it is going to be tough for him to keep his starting job.

basically agree.
however,
on offense: I think Berger will give Smiley a run for his money & Grove will win the start. Can't count Satele out at either position. He will compete.
The WR stable is wide open for whoever decides to step up.
on defense: I noticed you didn't include T.George in the LB Corp & have Wake playing third behind Porter. These unknowns will have to make their bones in the NFL after their much celebrated hiatus in the Canadian League. But I believe Wake will start & George has a big man's opportunity to hack a spot amongst the LB's. If they both live up to potential they would make a major impact on the 3-4.
Also, I think Jason Allen will win the start over Green or be gone before the end of the year. JA is the only one on the roster with the potential to be a shut-down corner. And this will happen this year or he will be a bust. No more excuses.
