Okay so we're 2-4 with a huge game ahead of us, I look at this game as a make the season or break the season game.

Worst Case -

NYJ - L
NE - L
TB - W
CAR - W
BUF - W - will be a tough one
NE - L
JAC - W - this could change if they have really turned it around
TEN - W
HOU - L - could have playoff implications for Hou
PITT - L - might be another playoff game if Cinci keeps playing top notch

Best Case -

NYJ - W
NE - W
TB - W
CAR - W
BUF - W
NE - L
JAC - W
TEN - W

Now we're 9-5 and should be in control of our own destiny going into two huge games.

I really think this NYJ's game can get the ball rolling either way for us. Win and we're right in it, lose and I think we're done, we certainly can't afford any slip ups.

I also look at TB/Car/Buf/Jac/Ten as wins because there's nothing to their offenses that can attack our weaknesses. TB has a solid TE but no QB to throw it to him, Car has S.Smith but Jake is aweful this year and the run game hasn't been anything special, Buf well it's Buffalo, Jack only a run game, Ten only a run game and potentially no QB.

That then brings us to Hou and Pitts, if we're really something then these are early playoff games that we need to win. I know we need to take games 1 at a time but looking at the big picture this NYJ's game is huge, as big a game that we've played in a long time.

What do you think?

So worst case, we end up 7-9, best case we are 9-5 heading into Houston game. Sounds pretty reasonable to me. I have a hard time imagining us do any better or worse than those two cases.

This might also be a good thread to mention that the strength of our remaining schedule compared to this time last season (when we were also 2-4) is almost exactly the same (.468 last year vs. .462 this year)...so a run like last year isn't entirely out of the question. If you're an optimist there's some reason for hope.

Worst case scenario is that we lose all of the remaining games actually, none are guarantee's. But I think we end up something more like this..

NYJ - W
NE - L
TB - W
CAR - W
BUF - W
NE - L
JAC - W
TEN - W
HOU - W
PITT - L

9-7, just missing the wildcard.

Absolute worst case scenario, we lose the rest of our games, absolute best case scenario, we win all the rest of our games

Injuries that haven't even happened yet will go a long ways to determine the season. Plus on ANY given sunday anyone can win, need I point to the OAK/PHIL game? Don't chalk anything up.
My prediction for this weekend is MIA by a few points. I believe they will attack with their TE this time, and give a heavy dose of Jones. The reason I believe MIA wins, is due to them having a true rookie that seems to digress more than progress up to this point.

I really believe this is the year that we sweep the Patriots. They are not quite as good as they have been this freaking decade, and we match up well with them. Moss is a deep threat that could tear us apart, but if we can contain them, I like Sean Smith on Wes Welker, and their running game does not scare me. We can and will run it down their throats, and hopefully our recievers will gain some confidence somewhere down the line. I would almost be content with us 6-10, sweeping the division.

i would be extremely happy with 10-6...i mean EXTREMELY happy. i don't know if i'd be able to contain myself.

I guess MIA's 19th ranked Pass defense hasn't registered yet?

Dallas Clark
Braylon Edwards
Marques Colston
Antonio Gates
Vincent Jackson
Jeremy Shockey
David Clowney
Tony Gonzales... You getting the point yet?

While I am happy with MIA's rookies, they haven't helped shut anyone down to date or as you say 'contain'.

I know it is a broad ran range, but I see us winning 8-11 games. We split with New England, the only question marks I see are the Squeeler's and Texans.

Why would you want Smth on Welker? Sean's size helps negate the size advantage Moss has on most CBs. I'd put Davis on Welker.
