We must have some of the worst scouts in the NFL..we have had some horrible drafts...I know we have had some terrible coaches who will remain nameless but... I wish some beat reporters would give us some insight as to how many scouts we have and what kind of job they think they do..I guess I am looking for some accountabilty for Eddie Moore, Jamar Fletcher, Yatill Green, Sammie Smith ,John Avery, Billy Milner, John Bosa, Eric Kumerow, Jackie Ship etc...Those are some horrible picks!!

And I laugh everytime Minnesota signs a free agent like Wade and Drew Henson because i think of that J*** Off Speilman...I really hate that guy...:fire:

The various guys that you mentioned have all come from different GM's as well as scouting regimes.

Also it doesn't matter how good your scouts are if your coach (Like Saban years before) and/or GM doesn't listen to their thoughts.

Y. Green was a jimmy Johnson pick taking a chance on a UM kid. He had a freak accident in training camp and blew his knee, if he didnt blow it out who knows how good he could have been.

Fletcher was a zone DB. we played a bump and run coverage. he was never able to fit in well.

Eddie more and john avery are the obvious ones. the last good 1st rounders weve had were sims and webb...

Wannstadt pulled the trigger on Moore because he thought he could add depth at LB.

Wannstadt brought in Jamar Fletcher to be the 5th DB because he wanted to keep Madison and Surtain on the outside when teams went 3-wide.

Yatil Green had an unfortuantely accident during training camp that pretty much ended his career.

Sammie Smith was a great choice at the time but couldn't keep his head on straight once he started fumbling.

John Avery was the biggest joke of all. JJ remembered what Warrick Dunn did to us on MNF and he thought Avery could provide the same dynamics.

Billy Milner was drafted because he was recommendation by former Dolphins assistant coach Kim Helton. He was supposed to be a replacement for Ron Heller

John Bosa was a stud in college but injuries sidelined his career.

Eric Kumerow was the 2nd or 3rd highest rated player at his position when Shula drafted him. Kumerow problems came from the coaches trying to make him into the next AJ Duhe-type hybrid. The same for 2nd round pick that year, Rick Graf.

Jackie Shipp was a horrible pick because he was a tremendous reach at #14.

The majority of these players you have listed have very little to do with our scouts as it was the coaches who had final say on who should be picked.
