Our Stadium Turf?

We did our high school baseball infield turf a few years ago. It's nice not having the upkeep of a typical infield, but it is a lot hotter. The rubber retains a lot of heat. I am a traditionalist when it comes to grass surfaces in sports. It has been great for us because we can deal with the snow and wet in winter and spring better than the past. (It also helps with defense and team speed!)Teams even colleges have used our field for workouts or scheduling. But these professional field crews work miracles once the know what works in each environment. Hopefully that continues at Hard Rock.

We seem to be challenged with maintaining our turf each year. Our hopes were that we'd have no issues when we got rid of the damned baseball diamond. Each year it seems to be either soggy or trampled from another event. Does anyone have inside info into this and what they are doing to rectify? Would also love to see it where the U and the Phins don't play in MIA on the same weekend. Nothing is worse than when it's our stadium and we're having to play in the junk.

Right now we are scheduled to play 4 times on the same week as the U does. So that makes us play second fiddle in our own stadium with trampled grass. I know there are lots of Canes fans on here but the U does make enough money to eventually get their own stadium. Is there a plan for that?

Hopefully someone can enlighten us on what can be done to ensure that the Dolphins have proper turf in their stadium.
The last couple years the field has actually been Really good

I think that there are some people that feel that real grass has few were knee injuries as when you plant your foot and get it hit the grass can give. With artificial turf your cleats can grab so solidly that it is the knee that gives. Maybe the newer artificial turf doesn’t have that problem

There’s probably just too many events happening on Miami’s field throughout the year. Will the U ever have their own stadium again? They basically don’t have a home field advantage anymore like they did at the Orange Bowl

You didnt watch any games till they won games. Hmmmm
You haven't seen ALL of the games over the last five years where the field is destroyed by an event that had happened or the U playing in OUR stadium? I have. With the U playing and us playing at HRS 4 times on the same week this year, I'll be sure to point it out to you.

This was in Nov 2018:

After last night’s downpour during the Duke at University of Miami game being played in Hard Rock Stadium, the field surface was flooded and torn up. Speculation had the field in dangerous conditions and “horrendous,” per a source speaking to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Sunday morning, however, the field has passed NFL inspection and, as a source told the Miami Herald’s Adam Beasley and Jordan McPherson, will be “an NFL-quality surface for the game today.”

Dolphins owner Stephen Ross paid for over $500 million in renovations to Hard Rock Stadium in recent years, which included the addition of a canopy over the seating area. The field, however, remains uncovered and open to the weather. Last year, the Dolphins changed sod providers after repeated failures in the surface early in the season. With that change, there have been no further issues with the field - until last night’s combination of torrential rain and a football game.

This is from Feb 2019:

Sod has been a sticking point for the Dolphins in recent years. The team came under fire in late 2017 when it seemed a perfect storm of weather conditions and frequent use led to muddy, slippery conditions.

Instead, the Dolphins said, the conditions were caused by defective sod, and the team switched vendors in November 2017.

Criticism persisted into this year, leading to an early-season field makeover and this tweet from Garfinkel: “All of you horticulturist/sod experts out there ... can we let it rest now? #howsthefield?”

This is from a PDF by a company called SubAir:

So had that attributed to their mediocrity?
how is this an issue?
