With the emergence of Rishard Matthews I don't know why some members wanted us to draft a Wr after signing Wallace, Gibson and re-signing of Hartline. We all wanted Matthews to get his shot but we still wanted t odraft other players. Even during this season some fans wanted to trade for a Josh Gordon or another WR. 2 games back to back that Matthews has showed alot of what we have seen. That chemistry with Tannehill and can catch the ball. With Wallace,Hartline , Gibson and Matthews we really need to worry about other positions. Also, Clay is becoming a solid starter. Better than Fasano and I hope he keeps this up. Just imagine if we had Keller healthy

Tannehill please for the love of god don't be afraid to over throw Wallace. That was easily a TD. Sling it, don't underestimate his speed. Man was Wallace angry. Still think the resemblance to Big Ben is there . I like Tannehill alot but he needs to improve this and fast.

Because Hartline is not a play-maker. Running crisp routes and catching the ball on the sidelines is great and all but where are the broken tackles? YAC?
To add on, none of our receivers will fight for the ball (Matthews and Gibson excluded) which makes Tannehill's job a lot more difficult.

I think Hartline is a capable receiver, but he is slowly falling out of the #2 WR realm.

These guys can make plays when given the chance, even Hartline. Clay looked really good today.
It all comes down to Tannehill hitting them and the OL buying Tanny some time. Our biggest issue on offense is the inconsistency at OL.

So, your idea would be to just not do anything about perceived holes and hope someone emerges??? Great idea. I see how great that worked with the OL too...

No my idea is maybe you should actually understand my post "we really need to worry about other positions" I sad I am against trading or drafting WR when we have Hartline, Gibson and Wallace. We all wanted to see what Matthews had to offer but if we continue to draft , sign or trade for WR he won't get his shot.

Gibson showed better than I had expected. I've been a Rishard Matthews fan from the day he joined the team. Kid is going to be a good addition to our WR corps. Wallace seems to be the only guy who hasn't really established a chemistry with Tannehill, and when he does he's a stud so I'm not rethinking that one. Tannehill needs to work on his deep accuracy ... he is regressing in that regard.

The plan was to feature Dustin Keller ... but he got injured again. That's not unusual for him to be honest. I'd like to see a true 2-way TE so we don't telegraph whether it's going to be a run or a pass. Between this and the telegraphed snap counts, we give opposing defenses waaaaaay too easy of a time against us. These things need to be fixed IMHO.

But Matthews, I think he's a keeper.

How is it "not unusual" for Dustin Keller to be injured? He had played all 72 games from the day he was drafted until he got hurt midway through the 2012 season. So he missed the last 8 games in 2012 and got his knee blown out by some stupid rookie this past preseason. Could have happened to anybody in the NFL but it was just bad luck. My point is: in no way is Dustin Keller injury prone. He ain't no Dimtiri Patterson, that's for sure.

just wished we didnt overpay for Wallace. That contract will come back to haunt us.
10 games 44 receptions 531 yards 1 td.
I think Pitt was smart to choose to give Brown the money over him.
Hell emmanual Sanders is putting up this type of numbers

But I think everyone knew what Wallace was and it was worth it with all the cap room, and need to blow the top of the defense..If Tannehill hits say 3 of all those long throws he missed, Wallace has 4 tds and close to 700 yards. That was the expected production IMO

There's a head scratching for ya. Not sure you realize this (well actually it seems you dont) but 2012 was the first time he ever missed a game. He's on IR now but that typically happens when someone dives at your knee trying to take you out. Not sure when it became status quo to call a guy injury prone after not missing a game until his 5th year in the league.

Can't believe the Hartline criticism. Maybe we need to temper our expectation are of him. He wasn't signed to be a #1. We'll always be a complementary receiver and he fills that role capably. Add Matthews and a healthy Gibson with Wallace on the outside and we have a great receiving corps. We'll likely never see Keller again, but I'd move Clay to TE and let him be the guy.

Sometimes it's not the receivers, I think it's the position coaches put them in.

I wanted to draft a decent WR as well, mainly for depth. Gibson is good but he's on the sidelines, recovering from surgery. In any season you have to be lucky to go through with no injuries. Part of the process is planning by covering contingencies for injury.

Pitt didn't choose anything, they offered Wallace a contract first. He declined it and they gave it to Brown.
