Zach Thomas led the NFL with 174 plays, and had a Stop Rate of 61 percent, one of the best percentages for any inside linebacker whose responsibilities comprised more than just staying at home in a 3-4. Add in nine passes defensed and three sacks and you have an amazing season from a 33-year old who didn't fade out no matter how often he was targeted. To complement Thomas' abilities, the Dolphins threw a great deal of money at Joey Porter. Porter will try to put a somewhat disappointing 2006 behind him, but his seven sacks are still more than the 5.5 that Miami's entire linebacker corps managed last year. The Dolphins will need continued improvement from strong-side linebacker Channing Crowder. He ranked fifth in Stop Rate against the run, but his Success Rate in pass coverage was just 32 percent, one of the worst of any linebacker.

Love for zach! ....It's really starting to sound like crowder has to step it up! I guess we know now why Porter has replaced him in the nickle....

WHAT!!! We are better than, Pitt, Dallas and a toss up with Oakland...We should be 5th on that list and third even when Briggs hold out....These rankings are ubsurd!

LMAO i think this guy has been hanging out with Ricky Williams...
The top 4 i understand. But come on Cowboys?? I cant name sumone with even Close to Zachs cailber let alone JP. Steelers..HMM we took joey porter from them. IMO Foote<Thomas Farrior<Porter Idk the rest of there sorry LBs names. And the Raiders...They dont even have a LB up to Crowders caliber
 
Remember fellas in these rankings JT is still a DE. Zach, Porter, Crowder. Very good, not excellent, esp. with Zach's concern at age (he has'nt slowed down but will one of these years), Porter's down year (due to injury) and Crowder's relative inexperience. Throw JT in there and then we become damn good.

More like Foote<Porter and Farrior<Thomas, Demarcus Ware is pretty awesome, but when you add JT to the mix it's a different story.
 
Ravens they lost A.Thomas and Ray is not playing on the same level as before.

Chargers Shawne Merriman only had 63 tackels tats sucks for a linebacker and other than him who do they have?

Bears Okay the do have a reall good linebackers but hey are not going to have their 2nd best dont know who else they have

Seahawks have real good linebacker but no one that great

Dallas why are they here

Steelers dont know who they have any more but they do pertty good and added L.Timmons but not better than us

Raiders they have a real good D but I dont hink they are not at our linebackers level

They always do this to us we try to improve our selfs but no one gives us props. they did not count Jason as a linebacker but if they were doing D-line they would have. as long as we know we have the best linebackers in the leage that is all that matters
