I would have loved to see some more players come in, but with that being said, I believe we are better off doing things the way we are. Teams are spending crazy money and it doesn't make sense. We were #2 in cap room I thought, and its odd to see teams spend so much in bonus money this offseason. The Browns just gave Anderson,(Green Bay DT),Rodgers, and Stallworth a total of 64 million guarenteed. Add that with last years signing of Steinbach to a mega deal, #3 money to their LT, #3 money to Braylon, plus their other players. What's my point? Cap disaster.

The Raiders got a player some of us wanted, but were scared of two knee injuries. The Raiders paid him 6 years, 55 million, 16 Million guarenteed. WHAT??????

Rodgers from the Browns got a new deal worth 20 million dollars in guarenteed. This guy had some issues with weight, is not extremely young, and still had a decent contract.

Damien Woody dissed the Dolphins for the Lions, and was called a Bust after he left the Patriots for the money the Lions paid. He got 11 million to sign.

Calvin Pace - 22 million - enough said.

The Dolphins highest bonus paid out so far has been to Smiley at 9 million. We have all this cap room, and we should use it all. However, it should be done right, and I believe we are doing it right. All the players mentioned above would have been great additions, but not for the money they fetched.

Couldnt agree more... We are not in the position to quick-fix, as a matter a fact, thats why we are in the position we are currently in... thank you previous morons.

I agree.
There were several 'big name' FA's out there who got insane money.
Ask the Redskins FO sometime about how easy it is to throw all your money at big name FA's to make a playoff team... or try to.

I still like to think this may be Parcells best work yet. In Miami he can concentrait on building the foundation and the franchise since he doesn't have to worry about preparing the team, supervising the coaches and players and other head coaching duties. In Miami he doesn't have to share control with an owner who is a control freak too.

I am glad we didn't go crazy for Pace. He is getting waaay overpaid. We have made some good moves, but I would like to see a little more before Free Agency dries up.
