Looks as if the regime tried to sign a LB from the Packers practice squad. They tried to get him quick but the Packers stepped up and even cut a special teams standout to keep the guy. Nice to see the Fins are still trying to improve the roster.

I don't have 20 posts yet so hopefully a mod will check it and correct the link address.

The better question is who would WE have cut from the 53 to get him on our active squad, where he'd have to go for us to sign him?

Joey Haynos and Tyrone Culver both were Packers. I think the Packers are pretty pissed Miami signed Haynos of their Squad.

There are still plenty of people we could cut if we need somebody.

Welcome to Finheaven and thanks for the information.

didnt we lose a player or two off the practice sqaud last year and he was a good player.

I remember reading an article that said McCarthy was pretty much begging Haynos to stay with GB on the practice squad, but Haynos said he could not refuse going to a team like Miami.

He is a guy that definatly has potential, and is huge at 6'7. Culver also looks like he could develop into something (and I think Barton could too as he was a mauler and nasty at OSU).

One thing I like about Ireland and Sparano (and they had a year without Parcells) they are good talent scouts.
