Pancake on linemans? huh?

hey i was wondering whta a pancake is for an olineman? is it hwen he knocks the guy down or what? when 2 lineman smash the dude up? I can't figure it out too much.

When anyone does really....a fullback can do it or a receiver....heck a quarterback on a reverse can.

For the most part though it's lineman who get pancake blocks by slamming a guy to the turf.

I guess you can kind of think of it as when someone flattens a guy, like a pancake.

as a former lineman a pancake was what we wanted when we were running the ball. The ultimate pancake was full on get under your man and push them on their back and land on them forcing their wind out. there may have been slight tackling moves to it. as long as you dont have you hands on them on the ground its not holding and its one man who wont be tackling your man, of course you also dont get a 2nd block
