Jonathan Stewart (heel) was held out of Panthers practice Monday.

Dolphins beat writer Omar Kelly has the initial injury report for Thursday. Kelly tweets that, "Carolina might be without one of their workhorses," but we know that missing early-week practice has been routine for Stewart all year. He's coming off an 82-yard, two-TD game and is a safe bet to face Miami.

The Panthers are banged up. Dante Rosario, Steve Smith & Julius Peppers all have injuries and Gross is out this season.

It's DeAngelo that worries me, not Stewart.

DeAngelo Williams is clearly the more talented back.

On the same team and offensive line last year, DeAngelo had one more whole yard per carry. And this year is over 5 YPC as well.

If Steve Smith is out that's huge. Our corners can cover Muhammad and Dwayne Jarret, but Steve Smith will be difficult. I'm not saying they can't, but especially for Sean Smith it's a bad match-up. Gross being out is huge. I like our run D's chances.

Add Charles Johnson to their Injury report. He has been filling in for Peppers & he has done a pretty good job.

Yea he has a swollen achilles or something. He practices like maybe once a week and still comes out every week and puts up numbers. On my fantasy team as well.

hey guys, looking forward to a great game. I just thought I would give a little scoop on the Panthers.

Stewart - he doesn't practice to start each week. He has been held out of practice every week this season. He will play and isn't really "injured". They are just giving his achilles rest.

Smith - he took a knee in the 1st half. He never missed a series on offense and played the rest of the game. It is one of those things were it allows a coach to put the guy on the injury report just to do it. He will play.

Only real injuries that could impact the game imo are on defense. Peppers has a broken hand and can only play on obvious passing downs. OLB Davis went on IR a week ago and his absence can clearly beseen. Stopping the run is a question mark for Carolina based on recent injuries (not that they were that strong there to begin with).

LT Jordan Gross also went on IR. Panther will shuffle the OL a little bit but Wharton is pretty solid and will move back to LT from LG. The LG spot could be an area the Phins could look to attack.

There are some other injuries the Panthers will work around but they have been doing such already and shouldn't really impact what they bring on Thursday.

Hope you don't mind a Panther fan looking around this week!

i have d lo on my fantasy team. hes a terror. him and stewart dont need practice. they are always on the injury report but they always tear it up on gameday. im not worried though our d line always tears it up on gameday. it will be a great show. cant wait

Glad to have you around. Go Phins.

I will be at the game on Thursday...can't wait.
