With the CB depth on this team beyond oblitirated. This guy is a must grab. Even if he got torched some times with the Panthers.

I mean, we don't know time table for Finnegan to return. Davis out for the year. Taylor won't be back for a couple more weeks.

We have grocery store bag boys playing CB. (Minus Grimes)

Side Note - Whats with the Panthers cutting every veteran and calling up rookies from the practice squad? Yes, season is over but sheesh.

He has not been very good, but he is a veteran and I would put in a claim.

The Panthers dont have a lot of talent at corner yet Cason was benched twice. Pass.

We are in the final few games of the season. Even if we signed him, i doubt he'd know enough of the playbook to be any sort of asset. If we have to sign a corner(and im not convinced we need to) i want a veteran who at least has some passing knowledge of what we do here. Richard Marshall, dreadful though he is, is a free agent. Im sure the Bengals have some former corners floating around the league as well.

I don't know if our system and the panthers r similar not sure he can learn the playbook.

It might be too late

Wouldn't be surprised, and I'd expect him to play pretty well in Miami. For all the ways Coyle frustrates me, his veteran CB's consistently perform better with Coyle than with their previous teams.

Bring him in, we need the depth regardless. We are one injury away from having to put LBs are CB lol.

Why was he cut though? We are so depleted it can't hurt

This may have something to do with.

Cason was one of several defensive backs signed during the offseason as general manager Dave Gettleman tried to rebuild a secondary that lost four of its top five players from last year's 12-4 team.

Cason started 11 of 12 games, but was among the lowest-rated cornerbacks in the league by Pro Football Focus, an NFL analytics site.

PFF ranked Cason 111th out of 117 cornerbacks overall, and 116th in terms of coverage.

After giving up a touchdown catch in Sunday's loss at Minnesota, Cason was benched in favor of Benwikere, the fifth-round pick expected to take over Cason's spot full-time.

Cason was 8th among corners in the latest Pro Bowl balloting that was announced last week, despite allowing quarterbacks to complete 57 of 71 passes against him for an 80.3 completion percentage and 122.2 passer rating.

Where is Dimitri Patterson these days? He was solid with us (when he was on the field) and then went AWOL and was dropped. If he is in any kind of shape bring his crazy*** in please.
