Panthers Were On Steroids

A CBS News report in March identified center Jeff Mitchell, tackle Todd Steussie and punter Todd Sauerbrun as having filled steroid prescriptions written by Shortt. Several other former Panthers have also been named as Shortt's patients in subsequent media reports.

PUNTER  :rofl3:  :rofl3:

Why would you give your punter steroids???

I can just see a 5'10 165lbs guy out on the feild trying to push around LB'rs and stuff thinking he's tough.

Like the Lb'rs for the Patriots weren't secretly taking steroids, some coaches will try anything to win. Belichek has very low morals and ethics. Appearently so does John Fox

I have to agree with SCall13 with what the baseball players did to sports these days I don't think any Pro authlete is stupid enough to touch that stuff. But sports players do do some real dumb @ss stuff so I guess it could happen.

The doctor who gave them the steroids was indicted this past week.

Two of the counts in the indictment said Shortt illegally distributed or caused to be distributed testosterone and stanozolol on Jan. 20, 2004, and testosterone on Jan. 23, 2004. Those dates were the Tuesday and Friday of the week the Panthers spent in Charlotte after beating Philadelphia for the NFC championship and before going to Houston for Super Bowl week. That Tuesday was an off-day for players, and that Friday included a light practice and shortened work day.

They still couldn't win. :nono:
