Jan. 5--Keyshawn Johnson says he's happily retired from the NFL.
He's challenged every day by his new career as an ESPN analyst. But the 11-year veteran receiver, who has more than 10,000 yards, admits if Bill Parcells places a call about coming back, he'll listen.

"I've got a job and it's exciting to me, but if Bill Parcells calls, I'm always going to listen," said Johnson, who played five seasons under Parcells with the Jets and Cowboys. "But that doesn't mean I'm going back to playing football. It's out of respect."
So, after all these years, and all the abuse -- and Johnson does acknowledge there's some abuse -- why does he keep the Dolphins' new vice president of football operations in such high regard?

"With him, I know what I'm getting," said Johnson, who works out every day and boasts that he can still "burn" some of the Dolphins' defensive backs. "I also know what he's building."

According to Johnson, that's a big, fast, physical and disciplined football team, which will be filled with competitors.

:woot:

This guy is pretty old i believe around 37 why would he want to come back.

He was the slowest WR in the league when he retired what makes him think he can burn anyone?

Before Parcells left ESPN, he jokingly said that Keyshawn would make a great TE... ?? who knows! BTW, FINHEAVEN IS BACK!! THANK YOU GUYS

is it me or did keyshawn sound like he would be more interested in becoming a coach of some sort for parcells? do you guys think he would make a good wr coach? are we currently shopping for a wr coach and what names are out there for that position?

IMO Keyshawn is old and washed up. Why would we want a guy that hasn't played in a couple of years? Especially with all the talent out there!

Rumor is Meshawn has been lobbying for a spot in the MNF booth. Could be using us as leverage to get that position.

Man I hope this never happens, I never thought he was worth all the talking he did. He's publicly kissing the GODFATHERS ace looking for ahandout and I hope he does not get one here.. This isn't Keyshawns retriement fund, and he couldn't beat our old defensive backs if you tried...

So No I don't like Keyshawn and what he stands for. HIMSELF.
