Parcells Prepared for Next Turnaround

So one guy says 3-13, another says 7-9, and the last 5-11.

5-11 being the median. Eh sure that's better then 1-15 but damnit I want to be .500 at least!

:hi5:

I still say 7-9. All I really want is to at least be in the Wild Card hunt when December starts.

The jets are going to be good. They will split with the Patriots this year. I think our best chance to get them will be the first game. I can see them winning 10 games this year. I can see us winning 8-9 games if we stay healthy. We will be a much better team at the end of the year than the beginning.

I think 5-11 is fair... Actually I worry if we are too successful too fast and that hairy monster 'expectations' rears its ugly head... I have seen so MANY rebuilding projects go awry when teams turned around too quickly and got burdened with those unreal expectations... I prefer to be bad in the short term to be REAL GOOD in the long term.

who is that girl in your avatar?

The problem is this time he's not coaching.

Perhaps, but Tony Sparano if anything gives me this feeling he's the right guy for the job. In fact i have more confidence in Sparano as a coach than i do in Parcells/Ireland as the guys overseeing the entire organization and with Parcells track record i think that's saying something.

Sparano seems like a guy who is going to bring tougness to this team, discipline but at the same time bring an understanding to running an offense. Especially when it comes to building and developing the offensive line.

I like Sparano and I think he has the potential to be a good HC but did you have similar feelings about Saban and Cameron like most of the board had the last few years?

it's got to change sometime. Saban was an a$*hole, and Cam was a moron.

as you no doubt once had about Mangini who's career trajectory plummeted even more steeply than Satan's 2nd year and crashed with only a still pathetic 3 victories more than Cam. So hopefully you're not saying that you have more reason to be bullishly confident in Mangini at this point than we should be in Sparano???
