I just read this article on ESPN.com

I don't care who Bill is. I don't think it is right to treat any player like this, (except Ryan Leaf) and especially not your best player. I don't like this dancing with the stars crap I think it was a bad choice for JT, but I don't think it should bring scorn for the the Tuna.

Don't start your acting career, before your football one is over.

BP is very successful at taking players that think they are above the game and taking them down a notch. That player this year is JT, and I am all for it. Maybe this will push him to show the new regime that he is the captain for a reason, or it could push him the opposite way and have him sit out and ask for a trade. Either way, IMO BP knows what he's doing.

Sets a heckuva tone for the rest of the squad, doesn't it?

Parcells is a jerk so this could be nothing more than him just acting like himself. I'm actually in the minority on this board in that I could care less that JT is on DWTS and he has every right to do so. It's not going to hurt his performance on the field when he comes back...... He's supposedly in the "best shape of his life" and look at Strahan, he never participates in anything basically until the games start and he was only a major force in them winning the Super Bowl. JT's teammates still love him so he's not causing any problem whatsoever there. I just think the whole thing is being blown WAY out of proportion, and if Parcells is really PO'd at JT then he needs to just get over it. Lastly if this was Ricky Williams or Ragean Mauia or some newby I think it would be a LOT differen't as they have something to prove to the team and still have respect to earn, but Taylor Does Not need to earn any respect from anybody in this organization...... It's JASON TAYLOR for christ's sake, he has more than payed his dues and when he does come back we all know he will be giving 110%.

Until JT speaks this is all bull crap. This is reporters just trying to create a problem.

I supervise a staff of 9 people if I acted like that I would have to answer to someone. The question I have is with this tone that is being set why in gods name would JT wanna play for him. Parcells said he was not going to trade him why not try to be civil?

I personally think that if Bill was so damn upset about this he would have cut JT loose already. He knew about this when he was hired...JT signed on to do DWTS in December....so he would have done something or said something if he was that upset. We all know BP is no shrinking violet when it comes to the press.Until I actually hear "I am mad at JT for doing DWTS" come out of BP's mouth I don't buy a word of any of this.
I'm with outlaw on this one.Jason Taylor has more than earned respect and I think the press should find something better to dwell on....like finding more women claiming they got it on with Roger Clemons.

Cut JT? yeah ok

BP would rather ignore him all together. Seems to push "entitled" players more, bc usually they have never been pushed by anyone in the FO prior. If all these reports are true, let's see how JT reacts.

Dear Jason Taylor,
Get your *** to work son. It's a job and you get paid millions. Bill Parcells owes you squat, he has coached better and seen better. You get no special treatment, and that is just the way it is. You knew he was coming to town and you know what kind of coach he is, this should not be a surprise.
P.S. There is no 'I' in TEAM

What I have a problem with is JT's leadership this offseason. The message he is sending to his teammates is that "Dancing" is more important to him than being in Miami and helping the younger players with offseason work, like training, learning the new playbook, and just leadership in general. I like JT he is currently my fav Dolphin, but I'd rather see him in Miami working with the younger players and getting to know the new guys rather than being in Cali learning to do the Waltz. If you want start your acting career, retire from football first.

taylor has been in miami over a decade, gone to 6 pro bowls, has 117 career sacks, and has never been a negative impact on this team.

parcells hasn't even been here 6 months.

why is there even a question here?

taylor has earned respect in miami. parcells still has to.

if we lose the first couple games this year, i wonder how fast you guys change your tune about the situation.

First of all JT isn't our best player. Will Allen was our best player last year and when Joey got healthy he was second. When Parcells and co. broke down tape from last year I know they seen JT half-assing 14 of 17 games. He spent the whole season hugging and dancing with o-lineman. I beleive he was practicing for his dancing and getting in shape for it.

Everyone will forget all about this in September when JT is on the field making plays. The whole thing is stupid IMO..... it doesn't hurt JT's credibility, teammates WILL NOT look down on him or respect him any less. Do you really think during TC JT will tell one of the younger players what to do or how to do something and they will say...."Shutup what do you know, you were dancing all spring"? The answer is NO, their ears will be wide open and trying to learn as much as possible from the teams Defensive leader.

Parcells was brought in to do a job, restore our franchise. BTW, if JT doesnt bulk back up he wont be our best player. He will be the skinniest end/linebacker in the history of the League. Dancing is a bad choice, he is training his body differently than he would be in a normal offseason. He wont be able to Foxtrot past a left tackle. He is no more than 220 pounds and is doing mostly endurance and light weight training. 1-15 and our former best player is concerned with his post NFL career.....that is what he is doing. He is getting his name out there Tiki Barber style for a big payday. BP is FOOTBALL, he doesnt have time for anything else. And it is about time we have soemone with that mindset running our FO!!!

Is there any doubt that Shula wouldn't be any different than Parcells? Shula ran a hard camp...he didn't care if you had 6 days...6 months or 6 years experience...he treated everyone the same. Taylor isn't special...he isn't different...and he should be and IS being treated the same way as every other player on the Dolphins. If Taylor doesn't like it...retire and give up that 8 mil....I'll bet he doesn't.
