I like the kid and have high hopes for him but it's frustrating for him to miss more time

DeVante Parker (ankle) remained sidelined at Thursday's practice.

Parker's ankle has been a problem all year, though coach Adam Gase is optimistic he'll be available Sunday at Kansas City. He's coming off a season-high 89 yards in Week 15.

he needs a reset. I don't think he is a #1, but could have a role until he becomes a FA. Miami's search for an Alpha X WR continues

Such a disappointment. With his durability and play this season, I have absolutely no expectations for him next year. He simply lacks the IT factor, whatever that is. Hope he proves me wrong like Nelly did with Eagles fans this year, but for Parker it will have to come in year 4...

This is beyond a trend and has been happening since college.....it is becoming a question of work ethic to me. I think this kid is and has been milking these injuries for a while now. It is the NFL, no one is 100%, especially this time of year and they are on the field practicing!

I understand the thought that Landry is not Miami's alpha receiver. However if that's the case would it be a mistake to pay him like one and then still seek to find a receiver that you plan on using more? Why pay Landry as an elite number one receiver and then use him like a standard number two slot?

He's pretty much got one year left to prove he's not a bust.

To me it's more of a case of having another year to allow the Dolphins and other teams to determine his true value for his second contract. He's not a bust, but might not be in line for a mega contract after his rookie deal is done either. Either way he's shown he's an NFL caliber receiver and with a decent starting qb would be a good starter if not top level starter.

Parker has talent but he disappoints too often. I'm not opposed to having him sit the last 2 games and we give Leonte Caroo and Jakeem Grant plenty of opportunities to see if they have a future. We know what we have in Jarvis and Kenny - lets give the other WRs more snaps.

You could ask the Steelers for a trade of Martavis Bryant for Parker. Bryant is obviously the better player but the Steelers may be annoyed with him enough to take a flier on Parker.

Or grab Simmie Cobbs in the 3rd round. 6'4 and much more aggressive than Parker is. Watch Cobbs torch Ohio State on tape. They couldn't cover him and you'd get him at the second tier school discount.

Either or both would be great solutions for upgrading the receiver position.

I thought he pulled up lame after his first catch last week. I was expecting him to go out, with his history, but when he continued playing I figured he was fine.

Maybe he's just not lucky when it comes to injuries. He was hurt in college thought. I remember John Offerdahl who was an all pro for us like his first 5 years in the NFL but then got hurt and after that he seemed to get hurt every year and just like that his career was over. Wit Parker tho, his injuries started in college and I'm not sure he's ever really been 100% healthy. He's a high jumper and some times those guys get hurt because of the landing. I'm willing to wait and see what happens next year but he'd have to do a lot better
