I'm going back many years but Pasqualoni is reminding me more and more of Tom Olivadotti.

which is it, our defensive players suck OR our defensive scheme sucks

or Both

I think it is a little bit of both we need a pass rush to help our rookie corners and we need a good FS and we need better LB all around. there are still a lot of holes on this team that need to be filled

Sparano says he's happy with our coordinators, so lets see what happens next year with what ever our roster looks like. We gave Ginn 3 yrs, why not our coordinators?

The two-gap defense blows unless you have an agressive or creative play caller. Bill has a two-gap defense but also plays over and under man fronts, pretty much the same defense we had with Nick Saban. Honestly we need to pluck someone off of the Baltimore or Dallas staff and make them our defensive coordinator.

You want to compare him to Olividati based on this season? Does Pasqualoni get any credit for last season at all? Is it fair to compare this one season to the years of horrendous incompetence under Olividati?

It's nowhere close and not even a fair question based on one bad season. I'm not saying Pasqualoni is a wizard or a genius, I'm just saying it's not even a fair comparison to make.

I don't want to be unfair to Pasqualoni, but I can't help but wonder how well Romeo Crennel could do if given the chance. I believe Crennel is available and is supposedly very well liked by Parcells.

A somewhat solid secondary would be nice; but at the same time we are a young team defensively and really need some more back there. Or do we work on the pass rush... The defense just needs some work in general.

Talk of replacing Pasqualoni is one thing but comparing him to Olivadotti is just flat out wrong. Crennel is headed to the Chiefs, they have a deal pretty well in place already. The Chiefs have even been commenting about Crennel taking over, so don't have him on your wish list.

It's a combination of both but the defensive scheme is wrong for the players we have...this defense should be a 4-3 and not a 3-4

I dont think we could play a true 4-3 right now..

Jason Taylor could be the weakside end but where do you put Joey porter...

Even going foward we would have Merling, Lanford and Solai playing DT possibly along with starks...

We would need another End..Cameron wake could play weakside along with taylor but we would need a strong side guy..

Not so confident that Merling or Lanford could play strongside..

We were playing alot better football when we had ferguson..

We need a Good NT and an OLB who can cover once in a while then we will be fine..

You gotta really dislike coach P to compare him to olivadotti, Ugh just saying his name hurts me!

I believe he is on his way to the Chiefs, But I would love to have him as well.

Is it just coincidence that both last names end in "i"?

Sparano says he's happy with our coordinators,
Source?

This is group is all about loyalty but even Sparano recognizes how we repeatedly got burned on big plays, most of which falls on the pass coverage scheme. That is Pasqualnoi's responsibility and needs to be cleaned up. Sparano preaches about accountability. Hold him accountable Tony. Churn up 20% of the roster and a couple of coaches. Keep everyone alert about what happens when you don't do your job.
