Pass interference

I think the proposed pass interference rule will cause a different problem than already exists. In the NBA, a breakaway foul gives you 2 shots +possession. That makes defenders think twice before doing it. If the PI rule is changed to the college method where it doesn't matter how far down field the foul occurred, it's only a 15 yd penalty, the I can see defenders who are clearly beat 40-50 yds down field fouling intentionally and basically saying, "I'll take the 15, but I ain't givin' up the bomb".

there will have to be some kind of parameter put around that rule if it changes. What does everyone think ??

College has the same rule, I like it better. I don't think players think in game about how they can manipulate the rules, they just play.
