Pass Pressure Anyone....

Fitspatrick is looking oftly human tonight huh? It's amazing what a quality pass rush can do to teams...Tuna and Ireland, you both watching?

The Jets are doing this with their big guy Jenkins out for the year.
 
Their blitzing up to 6 guys, we sent 4 almost the whole game. I know we got to him here and there but it's a terrible Oline and a average at best qb, we should never have given him any time to throw.

Yep Agree, that loss still pisses me off. And lately, so does Sparano's face! LOL! He best start winning again soon, or his face will wind up on a lot of Donkeys A$$es all over the web. Will post the links. ha!ha! :lol:
 
Amazing what a Very Good Defensive coach can do with his talent on "D"

Ryan is a schmuck, but his Defenses are always very good. They brought in stars and Parcells has brought in veteran slugs for us...that's the difference, that's why our D SUCKS!!!!

and they are 6-6, they will miss the playoffs, and have no money next season.
 
I don't know why everyone says we don't get pressure/sacks. We are ranked 2nd in the league in sacks and are considered by many as the team that get the most pressures on QB's. I was watching NFL Live today and they were talking about the fact that even when we don't get the sack we are in the QB's face.

I guess thats why the Jets are ranked 17th in sacks and were ranked 2nd. Yeah Tuna and Ireland need to take notes from them:err:

I just find when we need a big stop (3rd and long) we drop everyone and allow a the QB to go through his progressions. We also do that in the 4th quarter alot, we get away from whats working is the biggest issue. We pressured Brees all first half and then stopped in the second, we we're all over Fitz and then when it was obvious they would throw we tried to only get pressure with four instead of more.

It's a bit of a misleading stat, it's when we need the pressure we don't seem to get it for a few reasons. Otherwise we'd be 8-3 and in control of our division and destiny.

I hear what your saying and you make a good point but 2nd is 2nd so we obviously have the ability to get to the QB and in a year our arguably best pass rusher has hit the wall (Porter)

So if you want to make the case that our staff is being out coached at half time I can buy into that.
