Passing game opened up the Run and dissapointing end to half

did you guys notice we threw the ball deep more then ever all year long yesturday and did you see how it affected our game? this is why Mularky is an idiot and in my eyes, wants us to fail.

we threw the ball deep about 4 times in the first half ALONE. all over thrown but we did it so the defense now was thinking that we will throw it deep at any moment so they can't shove 234234 ppl on the line. it opened up the running game. we didnt throw stuipd 4 yard routes when we needed 7 yards. hence helped open up the running game b/c we actually THREW It deep not stupid 4 yard routes.

and another thing, i am very dissapointed where we had 16 sec left with 2 TO and on the 8 or so yard line and we ran it to end the half off a stupid mare FG. shows lack of confidence and support for our team and players.

How do you know big plays weren't called but Joey checked off too quick? or the deep receiver was not open so Joey had to check down?

I couldn't believe we didn't go for a TD on 3rd down, and neither could the radio announcers. It's that lack of fortitude that has lsot us a lot of games, even though we won yesterday.

I agree 100%. If just throwing long passes (without completing them) would loosen other teams' deffenses, then every team will throw three or long passes and then run. You have to connect on the passes to force them to back off. And even then, if the OL does not block well, you are not going to get much yardage.

I agree that we should have taken a shot at the endzone on 3rd down before the half, but hey we won the game. You can't sit here and nitpick about things we didn't do but won the game anyway. That's like sitting here nitpicking about things we did and lost the game. It's all useless. Let's enjoy the victory and build on this win.

Agreed. Can't do anything about it now. RB and the OL finally playing well had more to do with anything right that did happen. I am glad for RB since the naysayers don't have any fooder to gripe about.
