1. Shula - absolutely a great coach. Like Nick he had a thing about not playing rookies. His ultimate demise probably was that he never tried to rebuild the team from the ground up, and he was just too much in love with free agency. I see alot of this with nick.

2. Jimmy Johnson - oh where to begin with him..lol IMO, his biggest downfall was not rebuilding the entire team. He rebuilt the defense but not the offense. He only accomplished half his job. Its hard to win with other peoples players thats the bottom line.

3. Dave Wannstadt - Too stupid for food, end of story.

4. Nick Saban - Some like jimmy and some like don: he likes veterans and is trying to win with everyone elses players/garbage. Nick make this your team so when judgement day comes at least you can say you did it your way with your players. At the moment you can not say this.

Shula is clearly the best of the four, but the team was never the same after we lost Bill Arnsbarger as defensive coordinator in the 1980s. Also, as good as Shula was, he was also 2-4 in Super Bowls.

Johnson would be in Shula's league if he had been able to repeat his success in Dallas after he came here, but he didn't. Parcells has been impressive in that regard, taking two teams to the SB and the Jets to the AFC championship game in his second year there.
