Apparently we will have the 8th pick in the draft this year. So I looked up the #8 picks in the last 10 years just out of curiosity.

1996: 8 Carolina Panthers Tim Biakabutuka RB Michigan
1997: 8 New York Jets James Farrior LB Virginia
1998: 8 Dallas Cowboys Greg Ellis DE North Carolina
1999: 8 Arizona Cardinals David Boston WR Ohio State
2000: 8 Pittsburgh Steelers Plaxico Burress WR Michigan State
2001: 8 Chicago Bears David Terrell WR Michigan
2002: 8 Dallas Cowboys Roy Williams DB Oklahoma
2003: 8 Carolina Panthers Jordan Gross T Utah
2004: 8 Atlanta Falcons DeAngelo Hall CB Virginia Tech
2005: 8 Arizona Cardinals Antrel Rolle CB Miami (Fla.)
2006: 8 Buffalo Bills Donte Whitner S Ohio State

I hope we fare better than most of these teams. I guess you could say who you Want at #8 also. Discuss...

Rule #1 in life...never give the schmo in front of you anymore unfair advantage!...(and neva make a deal wit da Debil!)

Now that we have #9 in the 1st round you can do more research!

SoS puts Minny and Houston in front of us all at 6-10

If we have the 9th pick....

So who do you guys like with the 9th pick? I personally am a fan of Leon Hall...

Hall, Willis and Ginn, Jr seem most likely.

We need to trade up to go after Thomas or barring that, trade down to get Levi Brown and another pick. I wouldn't mind Hall or Lewis though if we stay put. I like what some expert said the other day about 1st round picks being used for the premium positions, LT, QB, CB, or pass rusher. Made a lot of sense.

Levi Brown will be a RT in the NFL. Short arms, and mediocre pass blocking; everything points to RT.

to answer who to draft,
It would definatly help us if some underclassmen QBs declare. Right now I'd say Leon Hall, but I need to see who's drafting where. I'm going to update my mock tommarrow, so I'll let ya'll know then.
