Just doing some looking around online... found an interesting article about Pat White and how he is impressing at the combine with his quarterback skills along with his athleticism. I know there are some people on here that have mentioned Mike Vick for wildcat and im not agreeing with that, and thats not what this thread is about. I was just wondering what some of your opinions on the possibility of Pat White becoming an option for the Dolphins... It says they have been in talks with him.

What do you think about the possibility and if so, what round do you think would be prime to grab him or someone like that?

I'd rather we didn't get a QB. I will stop rooting for the Dolphins if we ever sign Michael Vick though.
 
ya im not a big fan of wasting picks that could go towards fixing the team
 
I understand what yall are saying about vick.... but thats not what I'm talkin about. I wanna know what you all think of Pat White, his skills, his combine performance, his chances of coming to miami, and what his role would be/ how it could help/hurt the team
 
If he was sitting there in the 4th I'd have to think about grabbing him. I think he would be a kick returner and a wildcat option....so he might get 12 plays a game or so. For a 4th rounder that's not to bad. Considering Murphy didn't even get on the field. He'll never be an NFL QB, but in the 4th your not expecting an impact player.

I would agree,

A Kordell Stewart type of guy. Slash played WR with the Steelers in the early part of his career, but of course was a QB at Colorado in College. When he took over as complete starter for the Steelers it didn't work out too well, he was ok but made a lot of mistakes and flamed out eventually. If we have Pennington/Henne we don't have to worry about that, so if White is there late and Henning/Sparano think we have use for him in the new wrinkles of our offense then i'd love to take a look.
 
Pat White CAN play QB in the NFL. He may not have a huge arm but is very efficient completing over 60% of his passes and notching 21td's to 7ints last season. He is the ultimate slash, can play QB, WR, KR, RB. I'd take him in any round but the 1st.

(BTW: i am NOT a WVU fan)

also please note that your football IQ just sank to the depths of hell for saying this. that is an extremely stupid comment. no offense but.....ya
 
He would be a good value in the third or later. He could be our backup behind Henne in two years and he could run the wildcat.
