I will be the first to tell you that I am highly disappointed in our inability to win these games that we are in the entire time. And while I do think that at times it is just idiotic some of the calls that are made on both sides of the ball, I believe our coordinators do a pretty good job with what we have. If we had the personnel that Arizona or New Orleans had, I don't think we would run the wildcat nearly as much. Our team is built right now to run the football, and the wildcat is used to get both RBs on the field at the same time. Do I get nervous every time that Pat White comes on the field? Hell yea, nothing against him, he just hasn't had enough time to be in there. I would have felt the same way had Chad Henne got major playing time last year. Why is Pat White out there? The answer is simple. It is another avenue to help our running game. Say what you want, but his two big plays running the option indicate that he is capable. Obviously you can't run the option every play. That stands true with the wildcat and Ronnie running it. Running these formations is not indicative of Henne's inability to throw the rock, we have all seen some of the throws the guy can make. But, BUT we are not built to be a passing team. Our line is mysteriously terrible at protecting him. Our receivers and tight ends drop so many balls. Now it seems everytime he makes a few good throws, or gets a big third down conversion, we go and put in the wildcat, halting any momentum or confidence he may have had. And then we ask him to clean up the mess, and convert a 3rd and 12 or whatever the distance. This is where I get irritated with the play calling. We do not run nearly enough screens, we have been really successful when we have called them. However, the majority of this gadgetry is because we simply do not have the personnel to run 4 and 5 WR sets. We don't have a TE who you can motion out wide (even though Haynos had a nice catch out wide) on a consistent basis and put fear into the defense. I believe that as we acquire more playmakers, you will see us move from a heavy running team to hopefully a more balanced team. But I do think we use the Pat White option and the Wildcat because running the ball is our strength, it is what we do best. Bess, Camarillo, and Hartline are all complimentary players who I think will still contribute. Ginn, I get neither too high or too low on him, he is what he is. A speed guy who belongs on the outer hashes, beating man coverage. I believe that if a defense had to defend, say, an Anquan Boldin first, and Ginn second, then Ginn presents all kinds of problems. But in our passing game, even the biggest Ginn hater would say that if having to defend us, their main concern would be Ginn. And Fasano and Haynos, would be great #2 and 3 TEs. I believe we need to add a huge playmaker at receiver, and at tight end, and that opens our offense up tremendously. We are not that far off. Remember this, the 5 teams we have lost to, are 32-8. And only in the Atlanta game were we out of it. You have seen the Front Office's success in the draft, with Long, Merling, Henne, Langford, Donald Thomas, Davis and Smith, hopefully Clemons, and include Carpenter and Bess, they are good at finding talent. And include White in their as well, he will have a role even as our offense becomes more balanced. You have seen the success in the draft, and next years is going to be arguably the deepest ever with the CBA and kids wanting to come out early to ensure the most possible money. I know that we are superior to the Jets and Bills, and to be successful year in and year out, you have to win the division. And we saw yesterday, even with many glaring holes, how close we are to the Pats. Have patience guys, their is much to look forward to.

If like in the NE game, he is showing promise throwing the ball, I don't think we should run it. He had 70 yards early on, and then the wildcat killed him. We literally put ourselves out of field position with Ricky slipping, then getting in 3rd and long, which our offense isn't built to do, and taking a sack. No idea why we went away from Henne on that drive. We have to keep him in good down and distances (yes he completed the first 3rd and 10) not get him in shootouts. The wildcat is great if used right, but you can see it at times completely kills any momentum the offense is gaining.

I tried.

Just making it so someone that obviously put a lot of thought, and sense, can have this read by more people.

dont tell me patience, im so sick of patience, this team has great talent yet we cant ever bring it together cause we always end up pickin up trash and adding to our team. We need to stop putting trash on our team like camarilo, hartline, ginn, devon bess.
