Cobbs is a solid role player and turning into a nice asset. I agree with the idea that Ronnie and Ricky need to get into a rhythm and I would like to see more of that as well. But Cobbs is turning into a guy who can make the key play a la Faulk. He has good hands, seems to be picking up the blitz, and is a solid glue guy.

Cobbs is a young guy and developing. I see him as a kid who will be a nice role player on a winning team down the road. He seems competitive, with fire. He will find the sticks and shows savvy.

He is not a superstar talent but he is the type of kid who you can't go to sleep on. If you overlook him, he will make the key play, especially on 3rd down.

I wish he didnt treat every first down like a touchdown though.

I know what you are saying Citizen, but I also think it is a byproduct of his competitiveness. There is a fine line between good enthusiasm and showboating.

We want energy and fire and I think he has it.

Cobbs is good but ricky and ronnie need to get rolling. i mean it is hard to getting rolling in the running game with #1 defense in football. Plus its nearly impossible to run with Ray Lewis in the middle of any defense. But i agree with you on Cobbs he's a nice asset on this team.

I hope the FO agrees with you, so we don't use any picks on RBs next draft.

I highly doubt the front office will use any draft picks next draft on running backs. Both Ronnie and Ricky will return in 09' and I think re-signing Cobbs(is he isn't already under contract) for 2009 shouldn't be a problem. Also, Hilliard and Parmale are still on the team, so we will likely have 5 nice running backs to work with come next training camp. No need to sign a FA or draft one next draft.

I said the same thing to my friend yesterday, it takes a good offensive coordinator to use him right

Cobbs was super productive in college and if he continues doing well what will be more amazing is all the different coaching staffs that overlooked his talent. Lots of small studs out there being overlooked. My big gripe with Bill Parcells is overlooking the small guys. Wonder how BOoker is doing in Philly anyone know?

The greatest part is that Cobbs is the No. 3 running back, which means that the Dolphins have some of the best depth in the NFL at this position.
