He is the pure definition of "Patriots back" if that makes sense. Looking forward to a heavy increase of usage with Drake gone, Walton gone, and Ballage consistently setting up 2nd & 9 when he touches the ball on first down.

Kid just makes plays when he gets opportunities. Doesn't seem to have any elite traits -- just a football player.

He reminds me of Phillip Lindsay (Broncos RB). He was not highly tauted in college but he runs like he's a runaway slave, a quality that most of the "elite SEC" RBs (and Ballage) don't seem to have. You can just tell when the back is throwing every ounce of energy and when they are just going through the motions and waiting to get hit.

Ballage is currently running like he would need the defense to like up 8 yards off the LOS to get a positive run. Laird (and maybe Gaskin if he gets touches) will be more productive in thus offense because they aren't playing to contact like Ballage is.
