The more I see the more I like. Just what the doctor ordered- 6-5, 225, and soft hands. I like the way that he moves, smooth and shifty, and 4.59 40 isn't really that bad at all given what his role will be. This pick is growing on me.

as much as i want him to s do well, i jsut feel like hes too slow and does not look like a great yac reciever. Once he gets to play with people more athletic and bigger hes going to lose his advantage that he had in college over a majority of d backs.

I really hop he does turn out to become a weapon but i jsut don't really see it happening.

I Like Him. He Might Be The Standout Out Of All The Wr's We Drated/

I don't think that he's slow. It's the standard argument, but didn't Jerry Rice run a 4.7? I look at the film and I don't see a slow guy. Not an out and out burner, but not slow.

The guy is 6'5"! I don't care about YAC with him, I want him going up and getting those jump balls. With this guy you throw the ball high where noone else will get it but him. 6 points! 4.59 in hte 40 is pretty good for a big guy and besides there are a lot of great receivers that ran 4.5 40"s, heck even slower, you ever heard of Steve Largent! Chris Carter I think ran a 4.51.

i would probably say the best rookie wr we have seen since mcduffie, thats how good i think this guy will be, he will be way better than keyshawn, who was very overrated, between turner, smith, davis, and clemons, we have some very good rookie standouts

I just looked it up - Jerry Rice ran a 4.7 40. He turned out ok.

I thought that Carter was much slower than 4.51

I was going from memory but I can't find it like Rice's. I think you and I agree that speed is great but it isn't the be all end all for a receiver.

Boldin ran a 4.7....everyone on this board wanted him here, no one was to concerned with his speed.

quiit basing everything off of 40 times, "ohh man well how about the 4 exceptions over the past decade that have done well running above a 4.7"
If you watch his game film you can tell he does not have something called "game speed" somethign that all of the exceptions you guys have throw out posses.
lets see, boldin- aggressive strong hands , solid core great YAC
jerry rice- (are you kidding me) every one that runs over a 4.5 at recieiver gets his once in a lifetime ability attributed to them. dont even bring that comaprison to the table
Keyshawn HA HA - i hate him but just throwing out that some kid that has no even posted up a seaosn with over 900 yards from college is going to be better than maybe the best possesion reciever in the game is absurd.
Chris carter - may have the strongest hands in the history of the nfl, while being complimented with having randy moss oppsotie of him , which freed him up A LOT ( i unnderstand he was dominant beofre moss was on his team also)
Im not tryign to be some negative fan, im jsut being a realist
The majority of people in this form are jsut idealists that belive everyone we pick up is going to be the next hall of famer at whatevr posistion.
and to people who want to get him solely because of his size , that does nto cut it in the nfl ( has wilford taught us nothing)
I agree that he has a chance to be a good reciever , im not trying to argue with anyone im jsut giving you my rebuddle after i got *** ***** by a bunch of you for giving my opinion.
Hope he becomes what everyone sees in him im jsut saying, he has a long road ahead of him.

The point was to NOT base everything on 40 time. He's big with a solid build and catches the ball very well. Personally, I like how he moves and he's fast enough. Your post doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

which is actually the first thing i say in my post , and im glad hes fast enough for your standards

Looks like a very solid receiver.. however I can't really see him coming in for anything other than getting us the 1st down or redzone situations until he shows that he can break the 1st contact and get us some YAC. But hey, I'm fine with that, it's what we were really missing last year.

Hopefully he can do the job that was hoped of Wilford when he was brought in.

Endzone target.
