Besides losing one of my favorite all-time Phins today, it was twice as tough to again be reminded how piss poor of a job Mueller and Cameron did last year by passing on a SURE THING stud MLB in Patrick Willis for an overhyped sprinter with average receiving ability. It just disgusts me... more like haunts me, when i think of what Saban, Mueller and Cameron did to this franchise by overvaluing guys like Jason Allen, Ted Ginn, Matt Roth, John Beck (possibly) and Lorenzo Booker and taking on bad free agent contracts like LJ Shelton and Joey Porter.

Imagine if we took Manny Lawson in 06,and Patrick Willis in 07.We would be pretty damm stout at LB.I did not like the J Allen pick.Ginn i like but not at #9.
I wanted Willis knowing Thomas would not be here for that much longer.
That was a dumb move.We need to hit on some serious draft picks this year. The Dolphins are in for a complete overhaul.Kinda like a car when you
rebuild the engine, tranny, rear end. Then the body and paint.Fix the seats and carpet. We just need to restore this old Franchise and get it back to better than NEW.Fully blown V8 and then some.We will be back on top soon fellas. This is our time to get back to GLORY.

GO DOLPHINS.......2008

I like our Players that we have i would Take Ginn Again over Willis, Patrick Willis may be better but Ted Ginn can Change a Game for Matt roth and LJ shelton i think those were dumb pick ups

dont agree with those statements, but going back to the draft, I would have probally taken Willis over Ginn.

On that note. Ted Ginn was easily our best receiver this year, will for sure be a #1 receiver on this team (unless we make a huge WR pick up this season). Lorenzo Booker showed promise to be a great change of pace back. And I dont understand all the Porter hate lately. The guy is a leader who wants to win the games.

Mark my words, Ginn at #9 was the right pick.

I dont care to debate it now because nothing but arguement can come of it, but quote me and call me on it in two years if I'm wrong.

Yep, I have to agree on the Willis issue. He was absolutely the number one guy I wanted with the 9 spot last year...and away we go....

Ditto. It's amazing how some of these GMs and coaches get jobs. With our franchise in such disarray last year, why pass on a face of the franchise (Quinn) or a sure thing (Willis), to take a flyer on a small player? Weird...

Yeah, actually I dont have issue with them passing on Quinn, and in fact I still think Beck will be a better NFL QB...however, I did see no less than 4 of the 49er games last year (I live in Tucson and the Cards are about all I get since I dont believe in paying the exuberant price for NFL ticket :rolleyes2:).

Believe me, Pat Willis is absolutely some kind of special player. He WILL be the LB all others are judged against in 3 years time.

Ted Ginn was the best receiver on a HORRENDOUS team. Big Deal. He's not a #1 guy yet and might never be, and definitely not worth the #9 overall pick. He only caught balls last year b/c Chambers was traded. Lorenzo Booker showed NOTHING. In a year when our top 3 picks got hurt, Booker barely played. I'm not big on wasting a 3rd round pick on a 3rd down back.

As for Porter, my problem with him is that he is aging, his best years are behind him, and he wasn't worth the money he got. His guarantees kill us long term with our cap and his number don't warrant that cap hit anymore.

We gotta give Ginn some time.....he may not be a great receiver yet, but I don't think he will turn into Yatil Green.

And I am warming to Ginn (I was one of the most negatively vocal last May about the pick) but he has shown some promise. He is gonna be a very solid player IMO, but it is gonna take some time. I just dont think he will ever be in Pat Willis' league...of course he is a totally different player, but that is what I see

He only caught balls last year b/c Chambers was traded.

That is a VERY VERY weak argument. So you're saying that the only reason he got catches was because Chambers wasn't around?

So it has nothing to do with the fact that he was open, and the QB decided to throw to him because of how open he was? Did Ginn put no effort in his play, because since Chambers wasnt around, the ball was going to be thrown to him anyways?

If CC was still here, and CC was double covered, and Ginn was wide open in the endzone, would the QB still throw to Chambers just because he's on the team?

Ginn caught balls because he got in position to catch balls. Chambers or no Chambers, the guy made plays and had, what, only 2 drops I beleive? Chambers put that up in one game. Ginn is a playmaker. He will be an asset to the team for years.

We took Ginn. Willis went to San Fransisco. We can't do anything about it now. Support your current players, don't cry over the ones we don't have.

No, it's much simpler than that... if Chambers was here, Ginn wouldn't have seen the field b/c he wasn't better than Chambers or Booker.

I hope that Beck and Booker are the real deal. If not, just a little more egg on Camueller's face.

At least we now have people who know what they are doing running the show.
