Patrik Elias to tes the waters free agency

Patty, come swin to the long island sound. Isles need your help :(
 
Elias will get close to a max out deal and the Flyers can't afford him if they want to actually improve on their big. slow defense and maybe get a legit #1 goalie for the first time since Ron Hextall was good...

I think Elias is a goner from the Devils. I could see him in New York. He would fit in with all his countryman and give the Rangers someone to put on the 2nd line to add punch.

The flers will clear out alot of cap space and restructure Rathje and hatcher!! We will have cap room for 2 top tier free agents

There is no such a thing as "restructure" in the NHL. All players have guarenteed contracts. They play for what you signed them for until the contract runs out.
 
I would love Elias but I would love a goalie even more....Esche just isn't cutting it. :(

esche will Get traded!! And BTW Bobby Clarke was aying he wanted to redo HAtcher and rathjes contract!!! That is not possible?

No...you can not "redo" the contracts unless the players want to and they have no reason to do so.
 
Hey, Patrik, we have a nice spot for a goal-scoring winger such as yourself here in sunny South Florida! Come play next to Olli Jokinen and Joe Nieuwendyk, in front of Jay Bouwmeester and Roberto Luongo, and in a place where the only weather in the teens is the weather you're flying home from!

We need a guy who can light the lamp 25-30 times a year. We're missing one legit scoring threat and one top-2 d-man. So Elias and Zdeno Chara, come oooooon down!
