LaCanfora has been wrong about so much that I'm not sure I even trust him on this... but he is more of a credible guy than the original reporter on this story...

It would be funny if it happened and BB went to the 49'ers. It would be even funnier if Cleveland offered BB so much money he couldn't turn them down. It will not be so funny if this turns out to not be true!

I see manufactured dysfunction. It's gone so good for so long. There's no reason for it. Especially now. I will hope real hard though.

I have the Saints pegged for another title fwiw. Hoping it's against the pats in a heartbreaking manner. Maybe one day the sights will be set higher.

I believe there is a rift in NE and that the end is coming sooner than later. Regardless, they may still win the SB this year. I totally see Belichick leaving and taking a front office role somewhere. Don’t think he coaches again though.

honestly, a stupid article about how none of the ‘great triad’ get along... who cares?!! if not getting along = winning, maybe the 3 wise men we’ve got should book time in an octagon!

So Brady called LaCanfora and said "I didn't do it" and that's the final word? OK.

I don’t know if this is normal, but I don’t recall hearing a owner talk about his coach like this before
It sounded odd the first time I heard it, but may make some sense now
lessen at the 56 second mark

Really interesting. Guerrero as the catalyst for the rift. Bellichick overly scrutinizing Brady during team meetings. Brady threatened by Garappolo and seemingly on cloud 9 once he was traded. Players feeling pressure to adopt the "TB12" method of training over the team prescribed workouts. Will be very interesting to see how the Pats finish this season and the fallout should they win the Superbowl or get eliminated.

Whether this is true or not. The reality is that nothing lasts forever. The Patriots "Dynasty" is going to end at some point. Hopefully soon.

That trade could have been the straw. Sounds like Brady overstepped his bounds. And no boss likes being stepped over.

If BB did in fact leave and went to say, the giants. He would win a SB before NE would win another. McDaniels would take the reigns and they would be lucky to win 7 games next year. Brady is obviously good, but that coach is the architect of the success of that team. Unquestioned balance across the board.... that's coaching.

explain then why before tom brady ever played a snap under coach BB, coach BB record in 100 games was 42-58? Before tom brady, BB was known as a defensive genius, which he was, but had zero success as being a Head coach.

Just to make it clear, basically all coaches need a top notch qb to have long term success in the nfl. What BB has done with brady is matched by no other coach in nfl history. However, if we are going to look at the whole picture, in BB first 100 games, which is 6 plus seasons worth of games, which i think we can all agree is a large sample size, he was 16 games under 500, including 1-1 in 2 playoff games.

    Scenario....

Cleveland uses the plethora of draft picks to trade for Belichick who signs Jimmy Garrappollo in the off season.

Jimmy G stays in SF. They make him their new franchise QB. Your scenario would be a Hollywood scenario (Any Given Sunday). :biggrin

They are probably good enough to go past Buffalo (if they would beat the Jaguars) and maybe TN but KC, Jags and Pittsburgh could give them serious problems. Our game has shown that while in the past you could rattle Brady with pressure but this year he kinda falls apart. Our Monday Night game was actually a blue print. Brady threw so many head scratchers often without even having any pressure (foot steps).
The Jags defense was the only bright spot I had all year on my miserable fantasy football team. They could definitely unseat the Pats in the Divisional.

Unless they hire out to another team before this happens. Both coordinators are being rumored as considerations for a head job.

They are practically unbeatable at home in the championship and on their way to a 7th straight AFC championship. The Pats have been toying with the AFC for years and until teams figure out how to stop them in the regular season, preventing cakewalk playoff runs, I'm not buying into any kinks in their armor.

Really weird as the Pats are coming out and denying all of it. So either it's a total fabrication to earn readers, or there is an inside source (s) giving this info and are lying, or the Pats top brass is lying.

Here is how I view this article. At this point it doesn't matter what information from the article is substantiated or not because it plants the seeds of doubt in the minds of the three most important people in that organization.

One quote comes to mind and I can only hope it plays out this way:

The source that makes the most sense for all this is Brady's business partner Guerrerro who feels slighted by BB. The top brass is doing damage control.
