The Patriots put Ohio State DE/OLB Vernon Gholston through a private workout in Columbus, Ohio.

Gholston played mostly defensive end at Ohio State, but he would project as an outside linebacker in the Patriots' 3-4 scheme. As a fast riser and one of the elite pass rushers in the draft, it would be a surprise if he slips to the No. 7 spot in the draft.

Even though I've been on the Gholston bandwagon forever now it seems, I won't be dissapointed if we draft someone else (C. Long, J. Long, Dorsey etc) - but that is my absolute nightmare scenario. Gholston in a Patriots uni...yikes!
