Receiver Josh Gordon did not show up on the NFL’s official transactions report Thursday. That means his release from injured reserve is not official yet.
It also means he won’t have a new home until at least Monday.

Players waived after Thursday can’t be claimed until after a team’s game that week.

Correction:

So officially, the Patriots did cut Gordon from injured reserve Thursday.

That means he either will be claimed Friday or become a free agent Friday. It seems likely multiple teams will put in a claim for Gordon. (PFT)

My guess is Washington claims him. Miami won't be able to take advantage of the comp pick with all the available money they have to spend.

A WR needy team just cut their lone deep threat, had their QB advocating to keep AB....and people think this move would be smart?

I understood the Talib trade, agreed with it. But this I wouldn't. Gordon was tamed into availability by being in Foxboro, which Miami is in the infancy of building.

Nope. No way. No how.

Let the young guys on the roster continue getting reps and letting the cement dry on our culture building foundation.
