Espn is saying that now the pats have been having players on IR practicing which is against league rules. What does everyone think about this. Sorry if this was already posted.

Well If ESPN is reporting that it must be true. It's not like they or the Boston Hearld would print stories with out any proof, right?

:sidelol:

They just can't stop f-ing up. I love it though. Goodell is trying everything he can to let them off the hook but it looks like they are doing their best to get in trouble. Anybody know what the punishment for this is? maybe another $500,000 fine for a team that brings in $100 million a year.
:err:

ESPN has been recylcing the article for a while . also they reporting it as a fact and not as a rumour similar to the one about the walkthrough.

oh those naughty patriots ;it makes one wonder if Goodell will make Bellichek wear a suit and tie to every game . Of course I think they should suspend the pats for a full year or we should kick them out of the afc east . it would be nice for a change in rivials.

In the article up right now it is a former Patriots player making the accusations. That's not a rumor or conjecture, that is pretty solid evidence.

Seeing as you bring it up Jimmy Johnson admitted to taping defensive signals when he was your teams coach so it seems the Patriots aren't the only offenders with "solid evidence" against them for breaking rules or cheating. Being a player and blowing the whistle on others breaking the rules isn't nearly as solid evidence as a head coach admitting that he himself broke the rules and cheated.

Yeah, just sucks to be the only ones that got caught, huh.

I'm surprised you are claiming this to be merely a rumor. This came up in the meeting between Matt Walsh and Roger Goodell. It was even brought up during his live press conference. Watch it again. It's not the same as the walkthrough allegations. Goodell also said there will be no further punishment because the fine and loss of a pick was enough. There is no point trying to claim this did not happen or ask for another fine. Neither side of that will have the desired outcome.

Keep trying to defelct the attention, but the fact of the matter is your team CHEATED in multiple ways, and will go down as CHEATERS who did not deserve a single thing they won over Belicheat's tenure. I'm sorry if you're too immature to admit that your team's success was a farse, but it is true no matter how much you try to call your own players' statements "mere rumors."

it's true. been confirmed by former pats players. some former o lineman came out with it.

and what i think? i think this shows just how much belicheat cares about his players.

This is a pretty common practice around the league, there are a lot of teams that bend certain rules. Ross Tucker wrote a really good article on this, I'll see if I can find it.

And according to Jimmy Johnson so did your team.
Whats so hard for you to accept here?

An ex Pats player says Belichick practiced players on IR
An ex dolphins head coach says he illegally video taped "D" signals.

They both sound like credable whitness to me. I guess the league is full of cheaters huh?
I can't help it if while out throwing stones at others one came back and hit you in the face.

Well of course other teams have employed cheating as a tactic before; anything for an edge. The thing is only the Pats and Belichick were overly arrogant enough to think that they were above the league and couldn't get caught. Then because of Eric Manigini, Matt Walsh, etc. all of that came crashing down, so I guess what goes around comes around.

What I find amusing about all of this is how in Saban's last season as the Dolphins Head Coach after the 21-0 nothing win over the Pats, Belichick accused him of stealing the Pats defensive signals. Knowing that Saban is an understudy of Belichick I wonder how Belichick recognized so quickly that his signals were being stolen? Probably because he recognized the pattern of signal theft as his own, thus he was being beaten by the same tricks that he taught Saban years before. It would be easy to pick up on a pattern you used a million times before. Also I find it ironic that Bellichick doesn't know the rules about cheating yet he pointed out Saban for violating the league's rules about cheating, so obviously he knows the rules or is entering the early stages of dementia.

When its all said and done if your not a Pats fan their three Super Bowl wins will be tainted, which is what they are deserving of.
