The New England Patriots are having problems with their practice field - again.
Coach Bill Belichick, who switched practice facilities in Houston last season, complained about the team's field at Bartram Trail High School on Monday. The NFL spent more than $250,000 to prepare Bartram Trail for the Super Bowl, putting in new grass and a drainage system.
But the Patriots were less than impressed during their first practice.
"We were kind of out there on an ice rink," Belichick said. "It's slick. We're not even going full speed and guys are falling all over the place." The condition of the field, which received about three-quarters of an inch of rain Saturday, prompted Belichick to keep defensive tackle Richard Seymour out of team drills. Seymour, who missed the last three games with a left knee injury, did light work on the side.
