I was just thinking, since Saban pretty much is the architect (at least the ground layer) of the defense BB runs in New England, then it should help our offense get around any wrinkles they throw at us. Not to mention our familiarity with New England in general. So the fact that New England is banged up, can't stop the run, and probably won't fool us with anything, we shouldn't have a problem moving the ball. The problem we're going to face is stopping those frustrating short passes that seem to eat us alive. We have to knock BRady around a little bit and get him shook up and not give him time to get anything BUT the short routes off.

We'll only score easily if we get TOs to shorten the field. We have no passing game consistent enough to roll through 70-80 yard drives against a defense like the Pats. And if BB is smart, which I think he is, he'll realize what our offense can and can't do and he'll maximize his defense to stop what we can do well, which is run the ball and throw short passes/

If we are to win this game gus will have to have his best game of the season and somehow someway figure out how to complete a pass of more than 10 yards and do so with something a little more consistent than luck.

Infins...you are absolutely right on the button...I whole-heartedly concur....
