One roster move that may come back to haunt the Patriots was letting defensive tackle Keith Traylor go at the beginning of the offseason. Traylor is doing a solid job in the middle of the Dolphins defense. Vince Wilfork hasn't been drawing as much double-team blocking of late and there really isn't any backup behind him to speak of because the Patriots kept only six defensive linemen on the active roster. Wilfork is better as a tackle in the 4-3, but the team hasn't been able to run the 4-3 because of Seymour's knee injury.

Wilfork has been over rated simply because BB and Pioli drafted him. He's a solid player, but by no means a dominant one. He's nowhere close to Warren Sapp in his prime.
I'm guessing in 2 years Manny Wright will be a better player.

Everybody, stop dissing the NE defense! Since two games, what is the yards per carry average?

They are bad vs. the pass, we are bad passing... I don't think we match up too good vs them.......

yeah, Traylor was a load in the middle when it came to stopping the run. It really hurt them when they lost him, but i guess they figured it was time to throw Wilfork out there and plug him in. He hasn't been too bad he's just not plugging the run the way Belichick needs, like Washington and Traylor did in the past. Hopefully this plays to our advantage come sunday. But with their terrific LB's i dont know if Ronnie will be able to break any big yards, if he does he can whore their secondary because that is blown to pieces......

They give up 4 yards a carry this season with 129 yards a game. You're going to tell me that's good?

Byroan where can I find info like this. I want to see team ranking. What is NE rated vs. the run?

Traylor stuggled a bit last year too. Watching Wilfork play, IMO he is better suited for a 4-5 (even though he has the size for a 3-4)

Maybe Traylor can help our D read the screen pass early. Brady is a master at the screen. Maybe Keith's got some insight as to when it's coming. Hope so we'll see Sunday.

I have played with, and seen vincent a lot since he went to my High school. He's a real stand-up guy and father. Both his parents died a few years a go very close together. Vincent is a fierce competitor, but a big teddy bear off the field. His only fault was that he hated the dolphins. He has great plugger size at 6'2" and 325 lbs..., but he was never a real plugger in college or football. He was a playmaker. He most likely is having trouble with the scheme of the pats. Traylor realized that his job was to hold up 2 lineman, and anything else was bonus. I think that vince is still going for the ballcarrier, as opposed to locking up his assignments, and then trying to impact the play. Vince was never one to open the door so some one else could make the play. He was one who would knock the door down and bust on through. He's young, talented and showing improvement...what else can you ask for?
