they offered him a deal. he turned it down. so they told him to go look around. they didn't think anybody else would offer him more and he would come back and sign. if they really wanted to trade him they wouldn't be asking for something so ridiculous. yeah their screwed but they don't want to trade him. they got nothing at WR.

I'm sorry but I'm not following your math. Deion still has 1 yr left on his original contract so All the pats ar obligated to pay is that final years salary less the fines he racked up by holding out. So please explain why the Pats have to over pay him?
