Patsies overconfident much?

well, this guy certainly seems overconfident that the pats do this good. You never know, but I don't think they'll go 14-2. Defense isn't quite good enough. I also believe he siad 'blowout city' for the first buffalo game; I doubt that

He didn't predict the Pats would miss last year's playoffs I'd imagine therefore rendering his article pointless.

Nice waste of a few seconds though.

He didn't know Tom brady would break his leg week 1..

I hate the Cheaters more than any other team x10... But, I have to admit they will be dominate again this year.. I can definitely see them going 14-2.. They would have had that record if Brady was healthy the entire year last season.. Now, one of if not THE best team at drafting players gets 6 picks in the 1st 3 rounds.. SCARY..

They just won't go away..

On paper, this years defense is better than the 2007 defense, especially if they get a pass rush going. If they can put points on the board like they did then, 14-2 sounds good. I don't think he was right about losing to the Jets week 2. I think it's more likely the Fins take of the two games than the Jets.

The writer (Longo) is usually one of the few guys who question Belichick. Surprised to see him so optimistic.

The Patriots on paper are an excellent team, but the last time we saw the Tom Brady led Patriots play a full game the Giants completely shut down their potent offense, statistically one of the best ever. So why people think the Patriots are just going to return, going 16-0 again and scoring 50 points a game is beyond me. You can't just award them the division based on two seasons ago. Who knows if Brady is even the same player he was when he left?

If I had been able to call the offense in that game they would have scored more. i began screaming in the 1st qtr for McDaniels to stop having moss go deep on every freakin play. Moss could have caught 10-12yd passes all day long with the corrners playing off the LOS. Even after the half, he didn't adjust to the pressure the giants were bringing, playing right into their hands. They FINALLY did adjust in the middle of the 4th qtr, marched down the field and took the lead.

Will they score 50 every game? No, but, if they're healthy, they will have as potent an attack or even better this year. With Galloway replacing Gaffney and Taylor in the backfield, they will increase the pressure on defenses, many of which just don't have the personnel to defend against their spread attack.

Teams like the ravens & giants can beat them, or will keep the totals down, because they can put pressure on the qb with 4 guys. Any team that has to send the house will get killed.

Pioli wont be running the war room during the draft

They will have a new OC

Brady's timing may be off

Maybe it will be buiness as ussaul for for the Pats but I would temper my expectations until I see them on the field.

Let's hope they're not as good as they were in 2007. They do always lose players and personnel, but never seem to miss a beat.

comparisons of their 2009 record and 2007 are valid, since that was the last year brady played. It is kinda hard to re-evaluate their 2007 schedule because they were so much better than most of the rest of the league, but look who they played. The rest of the AFC east was really bad; not every team they played was that great. Plus Cincinnati and Cleveland. This years schedule is not as easy as 2007, so I don't think they win 14 games.

Going to wait and see how their draft goes before I start talking up or down the Pats. Defense still has holes in the secondary and OLB.
