I know he's as old as they come, but is it worth it to bolster our WR corps?

I'd say pick him up because he knows the Pats offense, but based on watching him for the first few games of the season it would appear that he has no clue about the Pats offense.

as near as 2007 he had a pretty decent year on a bad TB team, 50+ catches 1000+ yds 6 TDs, but since then he has done absolutely nothing. Seems he has finally lost his last step dude is 37

This is exactly it. The Pats are a zone read offense, he will know every read and what the receivers are expected to run one certain coverages. He may not have run it well, but that doesn't mean he doesn't know the offense. He would know every detail from blocking assignments, routes, audibles, and reads.

Anyone that thinks this doesn't work, go back to 1996 Jimmy Johnson cuts Kieth Byars. He was not performing as a Dolphin, the Patriot coach Bill Parcells signs him. The next game we play them we lose. In a post game interview Dan Marion admits the Pats knew everything we were going todo. Want another example, Bucs\Raiders Superbowl. The Raiders stayed with Gruedens offense, the Bucs turn in 5 picks 2 for td's and John Lynch is on the sideline laughing and saying Gannon is doing everything coach said he was going to do.

Plain and simple the Pats could change the audible signals or terms, but they can't change their offense midseason. BIG ADVANTAGE DOLPHINS! I wouldn't care if Galloway ever caught a pass!

If we need him to win then we are a sad football team.

This is like when people say we should draft someone etc so the Patriots cannot.

It is NOT about the Patriots, it is about our football team, the Miami Dolphins.

Not at all! It is about getting every advantage you can in a tight division. Not to mention he can also work with young receivers like Hartline, Bess and Turner. If you think for one minute Bellicheat wouldn't do it to us you are sadly wrong! In the NFL you take any advantage you can get!
