Paul is really going to have to bring his A-game. The ice is already cracking beneath his feet and anymore lackluster play, he could fall through never to be seen again. I'm pulling for the guy because with his physical attributes he should be one of the better NT in the league.

What are you talking about? From all the reports I've read Soliai has been doing a pretty kick-A job the entire camp. I don't think he's in danger of losing his position or being cut at all.

Solai is doing fine. He came in TC at his target weight and has been impressive, from reports.

That's camp talk. How many times have we heard praise for a player in camp and then he disappears? What he does in the game is what matters. I base my opinion and observations on what he does when it matters and not what he does in shorts.

you do realize that they are wearing more than shorts in camp right? Who would replace Soliai? We actually rely on Soliai more than you think, and your "observations" are pretty poor.

I have been one of Soliai biggest critics, but truth is he is having his best camp and came in a whole lot thinner. I think Ferguson taking him under his wing has really helped and he should have his most productive season.

agreed (with evildylan). unless he does some stupid shenanigans meriting further suspensions, or louis ellis, cohen, or somebody else emerges at NT, soliai is a lock and extremely valuable to us.

of course great play in these preseason games would be excellent to see.

I want him to succeed. I do not want him to fail, but the best indicator of future success is past performance. Maybe he can start a better foundation of achievement to gain more confidence for the future.

Yeah, but you'll notice the last two years of camp were fundamentally different from this year's camp. That's an indication of changed attitude. Coach Sparano made a comment about Soliai starting to get that football's not just a hobby anymore.

Btw, why do people find his name so hard to spell? It's not Old Norse.

Soliai is going to mature under the wings of Ferguson, and this regeme. I'm not sure Cam Cameron's coaches could have brought Soliai around.

I'm not surprised that Soliai is having his best camp ever. There seems to be a new attitude all around Davie these days.

Im looking forward to watching his development tonight.

Still he will be the one guy I will watching out for because if he is an issue this team has "bib" issues. In the case of the offensive line we have a number of backups as well as in the secondary but not so at NT P.S. is the option. I would way Tobor at ILB is the other one to watch.

The thought of Soliai and Ferguson alternating at NT makes my toes tingle.
I think he will play well and we definately need his size up front to collapse the pocket. With Fergie and Paul alternating, we should be tough up the middle. A good defense start right there.
Those two guys teaming up on short/ goal yardage will be a plus also.
