If any of you watched the first half of the Fresno State USC game, you're pretty impressed by Paul Pinnegar.

The Bulldogs scored on 3 of their 4 drives and went at least 5 plays on each and 8 or more on three of them. 2 drives of 80+ and was all lead by Mr. Pinnegar.

They like to have him take a quick drop and then fire it out to a slanting reciever or release into the flat. This attack was very effective. They also will send the TE and slot run down the seam and Pinnegar was just zippin balls into those targets.

-He has great feet, he always sets himself so he can setup and throw. He plants on that quick drop and then drives through the football.

-His release is perfect. He lets it go high and drives through it and plants it into hir recievers chest pad. He aslo looked good throwin the ball up over defenders.

-His accuracy is his best attribute in my mind. Several times, he has a small window, and threaded the ball in the seam and I was very impressed

-Armstrength is GREAT. Like I said he will thread the needle and just plant the ball on his reciever. He throws a very pretty deep ball which is somethin we need with the playmakers we have.

-Poise is phenomenal. He steps up and forms the pocket around him. He then sets and fires. Looked very good whenever USC got a good pass rush. He stood in and delieverd the ball and took some shots.

-Like i said in his pocket presence, he has a lot of heart. Somethin this Dolphins team needs. He was backed up in his own endzone, and threw a perfect ball on 3rd and long to get some room.

Those are a few of the things i picked up on.

His decision making needs improvement, thats something that will come with experiance. He thinks he can make EVERY throw, which is good confidence, but you gotta know when to eat the ball.

I have mixed feelings about his mobility. A few times I saw he get pretty accurate, but he looses a lot when his feet arent set. He threw some erratic passes on the run. He also tries too much sometimes.

Now if you saw the begining of the 2nd half the Trojans came out and stompped the Bulldogs. But Pinnegar has led the bulldogs back and now are within a couple of points.

The Fins need some clutch performers to put games away late. If Pinnegar can do that in this game, I think he's just the man we need.

DRAFT PINNEGAR!

He plays in a joke of a conference. I don't think defense has been invented yet on the west coast. He does look like he's got a lot of talent, but it's gonna take him a lot of time to adjust to the speed of real defenses.

Kid is very machincly sound. Like i said, feet, accuracy, release point, poise. And yea i sai his decision making needs some improvement. But he has all the tools and I wouldnt mind going through the growing pains with this kid. Hes a gem

He's definitely someone we would be happy with as long as the price is right. No way you take him in the first but a 2nd rounder might be good value. If he's around in the 3rd definitely

Should have waited for the second half until you went crazy about how great he is. Playing terribly so far in the half. He is good, but nothing that i would be excited about if the phins got him. And just think how the last qb out of fresno state is fairing right now.

I don't see how he has all the tools, he has an average arm but has absolutely no speed to escape the rush. I think the guy is talented but wouldnt go as far as saying he has all the tools.

Im not to impressed in Pinnegar. No arm. maybe a 5th round
To be honest i agree with u , i think he will be a 2nd day guy. He does some things good but alot of guys do alot of things good. Bottom line is he has limited athletic ability and will be a system qb imo. I think he will thrive in a westcoast system b/c he does make quick decisions and is a precise thrower. I dont think this is a guy i would want to build a team around I like cutler and think thats the qb we should go after.

ok just watched the QB from fresno state

ok alot of you i seen really like him and wanted us to draft him. after watching him tonight all i have to say is NO. on one play it was 3rd in goal at the 9, the wr did a slant, Pinegar never looked off his man, and throws it right to the USC safety, that was a big turning point in this game. also another play that shood out here at the end of the game, he had a wr open on the sideline for a first, but flooted the ball over there. reminded ofnow jay back there throwing the ball. And the next play he fumbled the ball so it might be game over. USC is up by 8 now so i will see what happens. but from what i seen, and no i havent seen the whole game so some might rip me apart here, but i would no want the fins to draft him at all................he is driving his team down the feild right now but still hasnt changed my mind on him.
