Paul Solai added to Pro Bowl Roster

I think we should keep him, it will be a big mistake to let him walk.
The man finally improves to the point where he is playing in a pro bowl and we let him walk?
How many times have we let our good players go for nothing in exchange? This is a big problem with this franchise.
Congrats to Paul Solai.
 
just when I was ripping him in another thread, right on cue, he's named to the pro bowl... of course
if they are sticking with the 3-4 or running a hybrid they could tag him, it's not as expensive as it used to be.
if it's a 4-3, they could let him walk and hope for a compensatory pick. and from what we are hearing, it looks like that's the plan
 
So stupid to let a young D linemen walk. Even in a 4-3 what do they get paid when the are good? Lots because they are worth it. Damn, we finally develop a guy and we are going to just let him walk. I guarantee if we let him walk and go with Starks and Odrick our run defense is going to suffer huge. We need someone to hold up the center from releasing on to our MLB, we need a huge guy holding the front, even in a 4-3. Memories of Tim Bowens and his big butt stopping the run.
 
pro bowl has become a popularity contest
add to that,all the players who were chosen and who
have decided to pass on the pro bowl for whatever reason
makes being chosen as an alternate,2nd alternate,3rd alternate
not the same as years ago

ALL PRO players nominations carry much more weight than the pro bowl

I hope they let him walk for the compensatory pick
 
Well, congrtulations to him, although I'm not sure what he did to earn it.

it's a good time to make the switch, and they do have many pieces for a 4-3 already in place. plus, they money saved can be used for other needed players in free agency. they could grab Flynn and draft for Blackmon or Upshaw in the first, filling two major holes(that's what she said)
 
What kills me is in the 3-4 you need more quality LBers, than DL ... then look at how our our D is composed.

But we have Austin Spitler and Marvin Mitchell just waiting in the wings to decimate and demolish all who get in their path....
 
I remember the Doging he received on this site for years. Although he was a very young and raw Player. Now, a pro-bowler! Some have no vision at all, instant gratification is all they care about. I meet Solia on several occasions, very humble cool dude!!
