Tua needs to rest. A HOF'er still playing like he's in his prime is available though for a pretty penny. Pay Tua and let him ride the pine while his body heals (or let him go if he wants). Tell Tua we're still in the Tua business but let this be the Aaron Rodgers show until he wants to retire.

Even on a reasonable rookie contract I don’t see any way we can afford to roster both of them. There are still holes that need to be addressed elsewhere. Time to cut bait with Tua. He’ll probably go somewhere else and be a Hall of Famer and never get hurt again since that’s our luck but it is what it is.

Mahomes gets obliterated and comes back the next game and is still playing at a high level today and you want to rest Tua for TWO years? What?

God forbid, If Tua is forced to walk away, I would get Minshew, Carr or Jimmy G, and then look to draft a QB with our 1st in 2024

Telling Tua, “yeah we still like you but maybe not LIKE LIKE you”. But here go chill out for a couple years and then come back after Rodgers leaves? Please :3”

Like what is this idea?
Trying the concept on for size. Tua's body clearly needs some rest. I know it's a Madden like concept but just floating the idea.

Lol. You were all for playing him now you want him to take 2 yrs off?

The 47 year old guy come September? THat's LESS loco?
Stephen Ross wanted him here and Brady wanted to be here. Plus we don't have the money to pay for Aaron Rodgers. I doubt Brady wants to go to a rebuilding situation like in Las Vegas - Miami seems to be like a natural last stop in his career. Tua is still the starter, with Brady as the backup.
