Payton the next Marino

Peyton will never win a big game. He couldn't do it in college when he could not beat Florida and he won't do it in the NFL. At leats Dan went to the Super Bowl, more then you can say about Peyton

Difference between Manning and Marino is that Manning chokes in the postseason. Marino never had the running game or defense that Peyton gets to enjoy. the only post season game Dan had that was bad was the Jacksonville debacle.

NO excuse for that....ever.

I really think if Dungy's son didn't commit suicide the Colts would have won the Super Bowl. It was just too much of a distraction for the team to overcome. They were never the same team after that happened.

Lets face it. "Pillow" Manning and the Colts are soft. They proved that fact to me 2 years ago when the Pats just dominated them and I decided that the Colts have no balls and will never win a Super Bowl in the Manning era. Today was his best chance to prove me wrong and the team choked again just like I expected. The Colts are soft and will not win a Super Bowl in the foreseeable future because Pillow and coach Dungy are far too happy-go-lucky to actually bring a toughness or edge to that team.

manning will have to actually get to a super bowl to even be close. it was good to see terry bradshaw calling him out for blaming his pass protection in this one.

that may be partly true, but IMO, there is always going to be something to keep it from being peyton's fault. today it was pass protection and vanderjagt. the guy has to figure out how to win a big game that isn't against an overmatched denver team (as his past playoff victories have been). if he had done it at some point in his college or pro career, i would think differently. the next big game he wins will be the first.
