Thanks to the two of the greatest inventions in human history  NFL Replay on NFL Network and Tivo  I was able to record two games, both played on Nov. 12, that peaked my interest for obvious Dolphins-related reasons.

The first was the San Diego Chargers at Cincinnati Bengals (Chargers won 49-41) and the second was the New Orleans Saints at Pittsburgh Steelers (Steelers prevailed 38-31).

I finally got around to watching them, which I wanted to do in order to get a feel for Cam Cameron’s offense, and to see what the Dolphins were getting in linebacker Joey Porter. I didn’t chart each play, but here’s what stood out:

CHARGERS 49, BENGALS 41

Good read. I do agree about the Porter comments because he was hurt most of the year last year. Another thing that most Steeler fans have told me is that he was in coverage 2 out of every 3 plays last season which took away from his pass rush.

I love NFLN. Not only is NFL Replay great, but the new NFL Classics is awesome. I've enjoyed watching the 2003 playoff games in their entirety. Especially, since I can watch them in HD now :)
