:dolphins: In the 2nd quater of yesterdays game Chris Chambers was called for pass interference. The Jets declined the penalty. Whay did the damn Jets get to accept the penalty? They made there decesion why do you get to change your mind?

Because we are the miami dolphins and when it comes down to an officiating call it always goes to the other team.... thats just how it works

Yeah I was wondering that as well. Maybe they were able to change it because the ref didn't ask Herm if it was his final answer?

I agree though, once you decide something, you shouldn't be able to go back and change your mind.

:fire: :fire: Also in the second quater number 70 sacked Gus and was celebrating over him that should have been a unsportsman like penalty!

They need all the help they can get, including the ref's saying "ok Hermie but this is the last time, now i hope you learned your lesson little boy." Lot's of bunk calls yesterday, what else is new? :flag:

Eh. That didn't bother me so much. It didn't seem any different than Taylor doing his heart punch routine or Bowens doing his bow. I just think he should have been flagged for doing jazz hands. How stupid was that?

I beleive that ever since we lost our voice on the officiating commity (Don Shula), we lost respect from the NFL's officiating crews. I really hope Eisen brings some of these questions forward on his weekly rap session with that *** clown form the NFL who represents officials and thier calls. Really poor officiating yesterday!

The differance is that JT and Bowens dont do their celibrations in the oposing players face. The standard is suposed to be that you can celabrate unless you are directing it at another player. Should have been a penalts imo.

Hats off to the D in the final minutes. That PI call on Howard I thought was the demise of us for sure. Just to add, I am NOT a Reggie Howard fand at all, but he did NOT commit Pass Interference. Coulda been a HUGE call. It's true though, we have to play 3 points better than our opponent because we never seem to GET those touchy calls.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but I wonder if Nick's comments on the officiating ever have any bearing on how those guys act.

True, just like when McMike was flagged vs. Buffalo for holding the ball at the defender. Only the Dolphins get called for penalties like that.:nono:

Absolutely !!

If McMichael holding the ball out is taunting, how can kneeling over someone, pointing at them and celebrating NOT be taunting?

Reminds me of when I really began to DESPISE the JETS- Marc Gastineua's jumping over and around Dolphins QB's after a sack. :fire: :fire:

Can you give us a brief account? I tried your hylerlink but you have to sign up to be a member and thats the last board I would sign up for (except maybe the Bills board...lol

Officials suck. I remember seeing highlights of the Falcons game and it was a legal hit and they called a foul because we hit poor little Vick. That crap isn't cool how the refs protect the players that bring in money.

I think you have until the ball is snapped. I remember a MNF game where someone turned the ball over at the 1, and they thought it was a safety. Then the other team challenged and the guy was down, but something else happened. So the other team's coach took the penalty because his team did not recover the ball. But then, he decided to take the penalty minutes later after the ref explained the outcome and by taking the penalty it drastically flipped the outcome of the call due to some weird rule.

So, basically, the coach chooses to decline the penalty, they reviewed the play (?) and the outcome is announced. Then, the coach changes his mind and the outcome is from left field and has everyone floored.

So I think you have until the ball is snapped.
