Penn State LB Dan Connor reportedly ran a 4.63 forty time at his Pro Day.

Former teammate Paul Posluszny ran a 4.67, so Connor is a shade faster on a straight line. He also repped 225 22 times and jumped 35" vertically. Like Poz in 2007, Connor projects as a late first- to early second-round pick.

i'd be OK with him at 32 as long as a decent OT fell to our 2b pick. C long, Connor, and an OT would be a great first 3 picks.

I'd be ok with Connor, but I think I would rather have Quentin Groves, Brandon Albert or Gosder Cherilus depending on who is available.

Would he make a better ILB or OLB ? I thought he wasn't going to make it to the second round, what's changed that's pushed him back a little ? I know we probably have needs at both spots, but I think they really are going to want someone solid at ILB to help stuff the run game. And I'm not sure there's anyone near the top of the draft (1st round) that fits as an ILB.

He makes a better ILB. He could also play OLB in a 4-3, but we'd obviously use him at ILB.

Odds are he won't drop to us. But you never know when it comes to the NFL draft. Stranger things have happened.

I would certainly be ecstatic if we could grab him.
