Penn State's Connor to Dolphins?

Only one of the consensus top inside linebackers has the kind of size Dolphins football operations head Bill Parcells considers ideal, such as the 6-5, 270-pound physique of Cleveland's Willie McGinest, whom Parcells drafted in 1994 while with the Patriots. But that one linebacker, 6-3, 233-pound Dan Connor from Penn State, also happens to be ranked in the top three among inside linebackers by most scouting outlets.

maybe with our 57th pick in the 2nd round but not 33rd. I would rather have Dominique Rodgers-cromartie if hes there

the chances of him being there are getting slimmer by the day...i just hope a good ot falls to us at 32

Connors is a pimp, and I wouldn't put it past the Dolphins to get him. There are so many needs, and that last pick of the first round is so juicy, it's impossible to say though.

You're absolutely right we won't pick him with the 33rd pick, because we have the 32nd. He will not be around at 57, and very likely won't be there at 32 either.

If he DRC isnt there for the 32nd pick and Connor is we have to take Connor.

ya but conner is 232? look at BP Lb's in size the avg weight i think is 258 for his team. why would he take him if hes that small? 26 lbs is a HUGE Diff.

However if the trade down happens say to like dallas i could see him being used at 32. That is of course if a trade down does happen.

As for the slight weight thing. I'm sure he could add a few pounds in the offseason.

Because he is an awesome player who could surely play ILB in a 3-4, or potentially any LB position in a 4-3 (though likely WLB or MLB).

All the more reason to trade down and pick up some more Day 1 picks!

ikonw hes an awesome player but if he doestn fit he wotn take him if that were teh case Dorsey would be hte sure fire number 1.

U dont take someone that wont fit your scheme as far as what u want personnel wise. Dont get me wrong i relaly like conner and would love him but if BP feels he isnt big enough for his taste he wont take him. BP is i get waht i want guy no excuses here or there type of guy.

Well it is a good thing Ireland is GM then.

there is no way in Hell that he will fall to our 2b pick

No, but how stellar would it be if we could pull off a trade with Atl... they just cut Leftwich... they HAVE to be atleast thinking about Ryan... and what if they get the #5 pick? Everyone is assuming #3... but the coinflip will tell all. They they can't hope Ryan falls. We make the trade pick up their second rounder and other picks.... Take Gholston or BPA at #5 (maybe Long/someone else slips) Then we could have DRC, AND Connor in 2nd round, with another second rounder to spare...

Gholston
DRC
Connor plus more picks

I'd be all over that
