the blog from today's camp said the Chad's took most of the snaps. Now i will be honest and say that i truly believe that Pennington will be our starter without a doubt unless there is an injury so mayb now we can have some progress and build some offense. But Henne has been stellar in camp from what i have heard and read.

SO what do you guys think. #1 and 2 on the QB depth chat Chad and Chad. I think Pennington will have a bit longer leash he will get most of the season if not all of it and henne will have clean up time and take over next year he has made the transition well maybe its his comfort with his O-line/protection

So do you take anything from the fact that the two Chad's took a majority of the snaps. was it just the plan for today and the other two will get the snaps tomorrow? is it a sign that this is Pennington's team and Henne is the future?

Thoughts and Opinons please

not reading too much into it. cp is getting spun up thus more snaps for him. I bet tomorrow beck or mccown will get more and henne wont get as much as today

I agree with what you are saying, however, i would wait a few days to see if this trend continues. i have a hard time they are going to stop giving the other two a shot after one pre season game even tho, your assumptions APPEAR to be what is going to end uphappenin. i'd also assume CP is going to get more snaps than anyone every day for atleast the first week to try and get him caught up.

Glad to see a few folks using their noggins and realizing that making assumptions about #1 and #2 based on the first practice after Penny's arrival and before an actual trend is established is an exercise in futility.

Yes.. Pennington needs to get upto speed. So it's no surprise he gets some extra work. Interesting though that Henne continues to get alot of work.

Still too early to know what is going on there. If Henne is splitting with CP tomorrow, I would take it a bit more seriously. If over the course of the week he is clearly being favored over the other guys, I will take it a lot more seriously until we see how things play it in the next preseason game.

you know what, Both Chad's need all the time they can get.

Pennington is new to the team and Henne is new to the league so extra touches this week I think are important regardless of the out come for Beck or McCown.

"CP throws a six pick during practice"... hmmm, more of the same?

Send him out of here! NO MORE PICK"S.. No really I can't wait to see him get some action. I would like to see it like this CP first quarter, then Beck 2nd Q and finally Henne all second half. And sorry Josh please hold this clip board for now!

Well just like i wouldnt look to deeply into why Chad and Henne are taking a lot of the snaps i also wouldnt worry about those picks. I mean you need to understand that a QB coming to a new team needs time to learn the WR movements and how and when they make there breaks etc. A lot of WR are different, those picks should go down every day. I wouldnt start spazzing out about 6 picks until its the 4th preseason game and hes doing more of the same.

I don't think today's reps mean that much, just common sense sort of dictates that priority. The Dolphins obviously think CP is an upgrade from what they had or they wouldn't have signed him. If Beck has anything I haven't seen it yet. So I think your depth chart is right just because that's what makes sense. We don't need 2 young QBs to develop and Henne is winning that battle. So I say it's CPs job till Henne is ready (whenever that is) and Henne is our QB of the future.

I simply think Pennington will be the starter. I'm niether hapy nor unhappy about it. I think Henne will be the starter before the season is out. I'm niether happy nor unhappy about it. It's the system.

BP has a way of making painful excisions quickly.

AS to the reps in practice...Nothing about nothing IMO..The die is already cast.
