Do people not realize he's played 8 really good games (well 7, Ravens game was his worst game) at Dolphins Stadium. And nobody seems to realize that Miami, climatologically speaking, is one of the windiest/breeziest cities in the US. Miami is 15 minutes from the ocean for Gds sake! So this stupid idea that "weak-armed" Pennington can't throw in the wind, like what some people are saying for the Chiefs and Jets game is just stupid talk. Jets fans always use that excuse that playing in the "swirling winds" at the Meadowlands, CP couldnt throw the deep ball. Guys like Laverneus Coles and Wayne Chrebet aka the Dolphins killer didn't seem to have a problem catching balls thrown from Pennington.

Chad's lack of arm strength has always been overblown and he has played well in bad conditions before. People use the arm strength myth to say he can't play in bad conditions but he can.

Isn't it mildly insane that with 2 games left in the season we STILL are forced to defend Pennington's so called lack of arm strength? Has he not done enough to not only appease but also SHUT UP the critics? Has he not proved time and time again that arm strength alone does not make a QB in this league?

Swirling winds or no the biggest issue Chad faces every sunday is opposing defences. Really... This arm strength argument needs to go up on the shelf with the 'pet rock', slinky and 8 track... or in the tickle trunk of past Halloween costumes... It is dead as Dillinger.

When healthy he was successful w/ us for years but dolphin fans never gave him the respect he deserved. I told you guys for years how good he was(when healthy) and I got bashed. It's amazing how that has turned around this year?

80 degrees and 12 miles from the south, that is just killer weather. Meadowlands is cold and Windy, comparing playing in Miami to playing at Giant Stadium is like comparing Jonas Brothers to U2 come on now.

I always gave you props for a fair and accurate assessment of Chad...

Honestly I believe that alot of the argumrnt stems from residual bad feelings towards a former enemy... And the fact that a gunslinger style QB is just 'sexier'... I am truly dumbfounded that week after week the guy performs and some still insist on beating this dead horse...

I find it profoundly disappointing that Chad has become synonymous with 'weak arm' when the reality is he should be synonymous with the word... 'EFFICIENT'.

Okay so you just said it for me... ONLY difference between playing in NY and playing in Miami is hes playing with windy, humid, hot conditions versus windy and cold conditions..I duno about you, but id rather run in 40 degree weather than 80 degrees with high humidity making it feel like 90

Very true.. We lambasted many of our own QB's for lacking arm strength as well. Something for which Favre is famous for. Chad is proving how valuable accuracy is in this league. Combine the 2 QBs and you would have a dream QB.

Interesting notion...:)

Actually isn't it a little surreal how often these two QB's are compared? The truth is the only thing that links these two is circumstance, as you could not find two more different players in terms of style and strengths... A comparison BEFORE the events that landed each in their new homes would have been almost laughable... yet now they will be forever linked...

It is the DIFINITIVE apples and oranges argument...

You'd have the best QB ever w/ Chad's smarts and accuracy and Favre's arm and durability.

Wind is wind. . .

No it's not. There's a huge difference from a warm Miami breeze and a cold, whipping NE wind.

Of course there is difference between a breeze and whipping wind. But wind is wind, your comparing temperatures not the wind itself. The point of the topic was to point out that Pennington's ball isn't effected by the wind nearly as much as most people seem to think. Whether it be cold or warm.

Neither did most Jet fans. Because most fan of all team are retards.

the QBS who are managers and dont turn the ball over are best in windy conditions, so that should tell you Penny is a QB you would want in that situation!
